Okay, so they removed the character creator mode... Brilliant.

Near as I can tell, it *is* Ultimate Tenkaichi under the hood, so I'll give it a 90% chance of having all the same audio issues :).
Oh there's no doubt that this is just Ultimate Tenkaichi with controller-less waggle:

These shots are pretty much identical, but one's from Kinect, and the other UT.

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

3. Goku and Friends Return (Special)
4. Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans (OVA)
5. Episode of Bardock (OVA)

I don't see FUNimation putting all these together in one set and dubbing them, I'd be more than happy for a sub-only, though.
Well, one of those is a duplicate, but still, what's so impossible about that? Funi's put out reasonably priced sets for good numbers of episodes of shows in recent years.

And the issue with a subbed only release is that I've seen Yo! Son Goku and Friends Return, Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans, and Episode of Bardock subbed. I enjoyed doing so, don't get me wrong, but my only interest in purchasing any of them right now would be for an included dub release of them (specifically with a Kai-quality dub or higher *won't complain if they top themselves*).

As for whatever the game will be called (is Dragon Ball Z for Kinect the official title?), how well does it hold up in the demos we've seen at cons? With a glorified on rails shooter using body gestures to attack, accuracy of the machine to recognize you is important. If it's even a little unresponsive, it would really kill the whole game, making it a giant money sink for something that doesn't work (if it doesn't recognize your attacks, it's not going to work out too well).

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

In the finished product, his shirt is ripped off. I would know because I own it.

This has little to do with the Kinect game and I may be late on this but have you guys seen treevax's FaceBook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nostal-Tr ... 5043468648 there's some good stuff on there especially regarding the future of DBZ games.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

I think it's the intention from the beginning. Only some people take it hardcore like ''This is the DB fighting game for this year? OMG!!''
I plan to purchase it as a relaxing fun game to play when bored plus with my friends who know Dragon Ball to some extent, not as standard fighter or such. I don't know what's the big deal.....

Namco Bandai Lineup for gamescom (which I plan to attend) announced, no DBZ game for now to my knowledge...
DBZ UT and DBZ Kinect scrapped for gamescom, which major DBZ console-games were scrapped for gamescom, too?

How do they think they can manage to pull this off? The concept seems ridiculous.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

To be honest, I'd really want to believe this'll be a great game but knowing it's Spike who's developing, those thoughts are automatically trashed.

At least it's not Raging Blast / Tenkaichi so let's see how it turns out. I'll still want to try it out, and hopefully, a demo for this too.

I'm sort of surprised just by the Announcement Trailer it's received more than a 1,000 ratings, it's currently rated as 4/5.

Dragon Ball Z For Kinect™

I wonder how many stars it'll drop when the game or demo (if they release) is published. I just don't trust Spike to be doing a decent Kinect game, Kinect does have great games, but asking Spike to do a non-broken game might be asking too much.

I for one am curious how the game will work, hopefully by now Spike has improved, because they've delayed for improvements, according to Trevax's Namco Bandai interview (they did say they'd delay the game for improvements, right?).

Wait, i just noticed Goten is on the cover. WTF? Goten was not in Ultimate Tenkaichi and in Dragon Ball Z For Kinect they were supposed to add only one character, and that's confirmed to be Bardock SSJ already. So what is Goten doing on the cover then >_> ?

The EU cover of Budokai 1 had a similar problem, the cover featured character that never actually appeared on the game.

Boxarts have been known to do that. Comic book covers and movie posters do the same as well.
