If you want to be technical, sure, it is animated. But that's not what I meant. We've never seen him animated "traditionally" in 2D, like every other episode/movie/special. That commercial really amounts to nothing but an in-game cutscene with some extra pretty tossed on.

I didn't post the link before because I didn't know if it was allowed since it's a scanned image of the Table of Contents page from the magazine and not on the official Jump website yet. Jump #42 is legally coming out earlier than usual this week, something Jump sometimes does, which is why it's here so suddenly.
I'm usually very good about linking my sources, but I don't want to get in trouble.

If someone could let me know if it's ok to post just the TOC page?

I know what y'all meant I was just throwing that out there so people won't think that SSJ3 Vegeta was never animated in any way, shape or form.

I do hope Vegeta goes SSJ3 but I doubt he will... I kinda feel like they're gonna have him say his usual "I'll surpass you one day Kakarott" thing probably at the end.

Even though he did admit that Goku was the best, however he still had the thought of surpassing him in the back of his mind as seen in the Kanzeban ending.

I only mentioned the manga not of things being "canon" but because Toriyama said he had to get up to speed with the story.

I'm really hyped to see what the new villain will be, If there's one thing that Toriyama does well it's villain designs.

This is all such an exhausting and dishearteningly long wait. Most of my initial energy is gone because at this point I keep expecting nothing to update.

While that would be awesome, I doubt it. What we'll probably get is a booth promoting the movie which may have a longer trailer attached to it, or maybe they'll splurge a little and have some of the voice actors appear on stage.

But Toei could prove me wrong; I never dreamed they would actually put the money into making a new movie with new content.


EDIT: Got to see #42's cover. There's a big line of text at the top that says "Jump Festa 2013" and then right after it is kanji. >_< I can't read kanji. Anyone here want to give translating these four kanji characters a go?

I know everyone can't wait for the super exciting Jump Festa 2013 information from Weekly Shōnen Jump No. 42, so here it is...

The new Jump Festa website has officially launched! The event will be held at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Halls 1-8 on December 22nd through the 23rd from 9am to 5pm each day! Local parking will be available! It will be a festival celebrating the most popular characters from Jump's four magazines (Weekly Shōnen Jump, V-Jump, Jump SQ, & Saikyō Jump)!

And that's about it... The normal early promo stuffage that everyone could basically just guess on their own. I guess we'll have to wait for more information, hopefully within the next month or so.

I personally thing an international release is all but guaranteed now. My worry comes in the seeming fact that Fox may be a large player in this. My fear doesn't relate to the quality of the product, but rather in the US rights. If Fox really is a big player, would the rights to this movie bypass FUNimation and go to Fox?
