The lack of movie-news is frustrating to me too. T_T I hadn't counted on Toei making us wait so long in-between updates.
I check the Jump TOC regularly, though for the past couple weeks I haven't seen any scans of the TOC which are more likely to let me know if anything Jump Festa-related is inside. All I've seen lately are typed up translated lists.
The only bit of new DB Movie news I've got is from Jump Festa's twitter http://twitter.com/jumpfesta :
(Apologies for the Google translation, I realize it makes it sound kinda choppy.)

Here's the original Japanese text:Entry ticket of ticket priority bleachers Jump Super stage, WJ on sale now, SQ., ~ I'll be just in the strongest J! So if you are in Japan, you can now enter for a chance to see the panel. It's really rough-goings though to try to win; I remember reading/listening to Greg of the OP Podcast's wild adventure with getting in to see One Piece panels at Jump Festa the past couple years.ジャンプフェスタ2013 @jumpfesta

Small note about the movie: apparently Toei was marketing it at MIPcom.

Interesting. What does that mean? Hmm....JulieYBM wrote:Small note about the movie: apparently Toei was marketing it at MIPcom.
Here's Wikipedia on MIPcom:
Wikipedia wrote:MIPCOM is a TV and entertainment market which is held in the town of Cannes once every year, normally in October. It is essentially a content event for co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content. It provides the people involved in the TV, film, digital and audiovisual content, production and distribution industry a market and networking forum to discover future trends and trade content rights on a global level.

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I'm almost sure Toei had something at MIPcom for One Piece this year too, but I don't remember which podcast episode I heard about it on.
In other Toei and France info, I do know that Toei released their Heartcatch Pretty Cure movie in French theaters since the movie's plot took place in France.
Also, isn't France one of the bigger anime/manga markets outside of Japan?
Unrelated to the above, but I really wish we could at least learn the title of the movie. I want plot-info more, but I'd settle for learning the title.

Something called "Jump Festa Notification" in WSJ #46's TOC. Hoping there's stuff of interest to DB13 in there; not only is the listing in bold, but it's also listed at the top of the TOC list despite being on page 82. >_>

It lives! *Gives the thread some juice ala Frankenstein*.
Um, so! Jump Festa site update with a comment from Masako Nozawa about the panel: http://www.jumpfesta.com/stage/index.html
Unfortunately for me, the text is an image instead of typed out so I actually had to go through and translate piece by piece.
Here's what I got for the first two lines:
And then I get blasted with kanji and which makes what little I can translate from that last line indecipherable. >_<
I can't really go to a "chart" for kanji because of the sheer number of kanji that exist, so if anyone who is way more well-versed in translating from Japanese could help translate that line, I'd really appreciate it. ^^;
(Also really starting to think they are going to wait til Jump Festa to announce any updates, which makes that a half-year wait, but such is life.)

(Only oddity I got was instead of directly saying "upcoming movie", what I originally had was "picture you could not yet see". )Yo! I'm Son Goku. And once again and again and again Jump Festa, I was thrilled to be in this upcoming movie.

I saw that this morning and I figured providing the actual picture will give those that can translate it more ease.

I wish there was an easier way to translate kanji. Picking out a symbol from a set of 30 or 40 is one thing, but picking it out from a set of 1,945 (and those are only the "regularly used" ones) is something else. @_@
That's why I'm hoping Herms, Julian, Kei17, or someone else who can read kanji sees the thread.

Yeah given that this movie comes out in five months from now and we still know nothing about this movie. There are movies coming out in two years from now that have more info this movie.Chuquita wrote:The lack of movie-news is frustrating to me too.

You guys are so going to laugh at me, but I was thinking about the new movie last night while I was in bed. and when I fell asleep, I dreamed Goku came to Kentucky where I live and he was going to save us from this evil monster on the way
he must have saved us cause I woke up

I can only read enough kanji to give a basic rundown, but for the meantime:Avenged wrote:

Nothing groundbreaking. The top text names Masako Nozawa as Son Goku's voice actor. The bottom text is Nozawa in character as Goku talking about being excited to see everyone at Jump Fest (Fiesta?).

So nothing significant in that last line of text in relation to the movie? *Sadness*.
I appreciate the translation though! Thank you.
I imagine the idea of Goku himself wandering around Jump Festa would be fun much like the manga chapter of him wandering around West City was fun. X3

Like Cipher said, it's not much:
Masako Nozawa-san
Roll of Son Goku
Heya! I'm Goku!
It's here, it's here, it's here~, I'm already excited about getting to meet everyone at Jump Festa! Let's all have a ball together!!

フェスタ comes from the Itallian word "festa" (which ultimately comes from the same Latin root as "fiesta" and "festival").Cipher wrote:Jump Fest (Fiesta?).

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
Thank you, Herms!
I really appreciate the translation!
The excitement in the in-character portion of the note makes me smile. X3 Also having Goku tacking on that tilde on top of already throwing in three "It's here"'s. (I noticed that in the Japanese text too.) That fits the character so well. Plus double exclamation points. If Goku were to communicate with the rest of the cast through text, that's definitely how it would look. XD
Also, I didn't know "Festa" was an Italian word. Interesting.
Little things have been giving me good feelings about this movie project of theirs, even though I still don't know what the movie is about. They're definitely doing something right if I'm still positive about the film while going on almost 4 months without a plot update.

According to Shonen Jump, the next issue of V-Jump is going to reveal some info about the movie.
