It's nice to see but I'm with everyone else. It's confusing. I don't know if it's on purpose or accident that they seem to have all these odd things happening. Gohan SSJ, Goku on Kaio's planet. However, it could simply be that he picked out another planet. There seemed to be plenty of them floating around out there.

Either way, Bils looks really cool fully animated. I was hoping to see some kind of new attack/form in the trailer but meh that's okay. As long as the story is good! Animation looks superb for being filmed off a tv haha. I'm sure it looks even better when you see it on the actual screen. As far as the "cleanliness" of it goes, it'll lose some of that at the theater when it's being projected through film.

The aspect of the trailer that has me excited is that it seems like a lot of the characters get in on the action. Hopefully they do more than just get taken out with a bitchslap.

Also, hopefully Piccolo does more than act as Gohan's meat shield.

Pilaf and co look like kids, (or rather they all have kids now who look just like them and work together), maybe they reference GT at the beginning, and Pilaf accidentally says "I WISH WE WERE KIDS AGAIN" to Shenlong?

I'd also like to add that looking at Mr Satan in the clip makes me think he'd look right at home in One Piece.

The trailer was pretty good. The animation looks like and looks like could be awesome. I can't get hype up yet since I feel like that the movie could be end up being meh like most DBZ movies were.

There's nothing in the manga to indicate that he will never be able to turn into SSJ ever again. It wasn't even implied. Rou Kaioshin said all he needs to become Ultimate is to power up just like Super Saiyan. Take note of "just like". He didn't say "exactly like". All Rou Kaioshin did was to draw out Gohan's potiental past his limit.

Don't give me "But Gohan didn't go SSJ against Boo!". Because Gohan didn't have time to transform into it. If he had time, he probably could.

Gohan still has the ability to transform into SSJ. It's part of the Saiyan's genes.

Movie 13 doesn't count because it's Toei's material.

The Earth in the background in Birusu and Goku's fight looks like CGI or something.

Could this be something to do with Birusu "violating the common sense of Z" as it states in a translation?

(U know like distorting the Universe, similar to Janemba turning Universe to candy and stuff.
Except maybe its merging two different Universes, like the real world and comic work merging into one.)

In the first trailer it was also a mix of CGI and drawings....Hmmm I could be onto something here right?

YES! Oh man, every time I don't think I can get any more pumped, they find a way to do it. I can't wait to see a more decent quality trailer, but even this...I. Am. READY. For this. I need it now.

I do hope there's some mention of why Gohan can go Super Saiyan now, but even if there isn't, that's hardly going to be a big thing for me. I dunno why it's such a stickler point for everyone, can we not just enjoy the movie?

There are people who don't like when new media of their favorite franchise seemingly contradicts what's been stated/implied earlier. It bothers you that much?
While Gohan didn't necessarily lose the ability to go SSJ, apparently the SSJ no longer had any use for him. So either there's an explanation in the movie or... well... it's an outright contradiction.

I know I'm going to be P'd off if we don't get this movie here in the states. I want an official release not some stupid add-on, on a video game. but I love animation. Also Gohan going Super Saiyan isn't a big deal for me I'm sure there's lots of little errors like that in the Dragonball universe.

I assume u mean that big tree like thing.
I can only think of it as being the World Tree, which produces Shin, Kaio and Kaioshin. (Not for getting Makaio and Makaioshin)

Didn't have time? It'd likely take a second for him (he'd been training for the Budokai, so he would've been able to rev up to Super Saiyan if he needed to, especially considering he could hold the form just as easily as his base form prior to this fight). Even when fighting Boo, he'd have thought to himself "Oh god oh god, I need to transform into a Super Saiyan now". We got no internal monologue implying it, nor any physical indication that he was attempting to.
I do not buy that he wouldn't have done that if he could, he was fighting back, he would've used that energy to transform.

In your opnion. We still really don't know exactly what the power-up did to him. 'cept unlock his potential... again.

I don't accept DragonBall Gt as part of the original story but we should not forget that Gohan did turn Super Saiyan in DragonBall Gt against Omega Shenron ...

I also would have preferred if Gohan stayed in his Ultimate form. I doubt it'll happen, but I'm rooting for Vegetto SSJ 3.

You've read the posts so far right?
A - Rou Dai Kaioshin told Gohan that he needed to do what he does when he becomes a Super Saiyan to activate his new ability (this is different than just revving up your ki, as Gokuh told us when he was training Gohan how to transform into a Super Saiyan). After doing this, he appeared to be a Super Saiyan with black hair and black eyes.
B - Gohan never transforms during the fight with Boo. While quickly flipping through the manga I noticed at least 3 occasions when Gohan launches an attack at Boo, knowing he is massively outclassed. Gohan isn't the smartest fighter, but even so it'd take a complete moron to not at least attempt to transform (a feat which can be quickly accomplished at this point in the series).
C - He remains this way for the rest of the series. This gives the impression it's some power higher than a simple 'ki unlock', as it changes his physical appearance (might not have that much to do with the Super Saiyan, thing, but I do think it implies that Gohan is going to remain in this form forever).
