20th Anniversary Special?

Post by gohan2k » Sun Feb 26, 2006 5:57 am

Is there any chance with it being the 20th anniversary of Dragonball (the series, anyway) that this year there could be a brand spanking new TV special?

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see...

The manga began in 1984 but the TV series began on February 26th 1986....Holy crap, that's today!

:? Well...I've always thought we'd get a 25th Anniversary Movie rather than twentieth, so that be in...2009...
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

As cool as something like that might be, I don't really think I want to see any new Dragon Ball stuff. At the end of the last episode of GT when the words "The End" came up, that's when I knew that I didn't need anything to come after that. Personally, I say leave it as it is.

Seeing Movie 12 on a fricken huge screen is 20th Anniversary Celebration enough, as well as seeing the Viz Manga completed.

We'd have heard something by now if a whole anime special was being made for this year.

The 20th Anniversary Celebration is long since over. It actually happened last year in July and August. It was on the first floor of the Aqua City building, Daiba 1-7-1, in the Tokyo Metropolitan area. The celebration consisted of a rally, museum, special shop, and a gaming corner!

With the celebration being over for a while now, I'm sure we would know by now if they were going to make a movie or special for the anniversary. I would guess that if anything is going to happen it'd be for the 25th Anniversary, like Chaos Saiyajin already said. So to at least make people feel better about no special, here are some fliers and pictures from the 20th Anniversary Celebration.
