Yeah, you guys could NOT have done that better :p I liked how you made the opening very promising and then did something completely different :D The Paozu Tuna bit was also a stroke of genius :p The only thing I didn't really like was the intercutting between the footage of Krillin and Maron where it's clearly evening for Krillin's shots and noon foor Maron's shots. I'm guessing you probably tried some color correcting on Maron's shots but it didn't really work so you just left it like that :o Oh well, sucks, but doesn't diminish the episode :p

That was some genius editing. X3 I didn't expect it to turn out this way at all.
-Garlic Jr's voice being spot-on from the original Funi dub
-Kuririn taking out the life-insurance policy on himself
-Him pretending to be his own brother
-Nail, Piccolo, and Kami's conversation
-The cake
-Oolong's birthday not being remembered
-Kamesennin's "glorious beard" catching fire from the cake. XD
-How crazy Kuririn sounded when explaining to Maron what really happened to him
-Her turning out to be undercover
-The way Mr. Popo dealt with Garlic Jr. X3
On hiatus.

Just saw episode 31 and I have to say I didn't expect it to turn out this funny.

Best parts of the episode:
-Garlic Jr's voice sounding just like the original Funi dub Gerlic Jr
-Kuririn taking out a life-insurance policy on himself
-Kuririn pretending to be his own brother Juan (the name alone got me laughing because of how unexpected it was)
-The Nail, Piccolo, and Kami conversation it was funny to see Kami get kicked off the Lookout :)
-Kamesennin's beard catching on fire from the candles on the cake.
-Maron turning out to be an undercover agent of the government.
-The way Mr. Popo easily dealt with Garlic Jr and his men (now we don't have to deal with any more of the Garlic Jr arc XD)

The only thing I didn't like personally is Kamesennin's new voice but other than that the rest of the episode was great.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Do they have this new episode uploaded to their Youtube yet, or just the main site?

31 was a prime example of everything I love about tfs, amazingly funny, and continues to go down paths I never would thought of. Kudos tfs, you gave the Garlic Jr arc more justice then it deserved!

That was amazing.

And thank God they're not actually doing the Garlic Jr. arc.

I just think they missed a potential joke... with Chi-Chi's "Kaio-Ken" when she's brainwashed.

Popo's booty call with Jynx.

Funniest. Popo. Moment. Ever.

(And holy crap, Popo IS the Dead Zone!)

Safe to say Popo was the star of this episode.

Youtuber is full of truth:
The only thing that bothers me is:
Krillin can't be committing fraud when he has multiple witnesses of his death. If the insurance underwriter didn't actually stipulate resurrection, then he has a completely legal claim to that money.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

The fraud would be that he left it to a person that doesn't exist, though.

Although to be honest, if he's okay with insurance fraud he should be okay with telling them to fuck off and then keeping the money. There's nothing they can do.

So you just wrapped up a filler arc in one episode and completely changed its emphasis.

Glorious.

Also Roshi killed me.

Nice way to bump up the Krillin Owned Count.

Poor Garlic Jr. Never got a chance to get his story off the ground, but that's what you get when you mess with the Popo. Though... it sure looks like he only got rid of Garlic, and left the Spice Boys intact. No doubt he'd simply "convince" them to repair the damage they've just caused, before he consigns them to hell, or the Dead Zone, or wherever he feels like sending them.

I know I should find the Popo part funny but it just seemed REALLY predictable. And to me the evil/invincible Popo gag is kinda old.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I really feel as if he's falling into the Mary Sue/Gary Stu category. I liked him initially for his dark humor but he's pretty much become predictable by this point if all of his footage in the series is simply going to be used for as ringworm said as "the evil/invincible Popo".

As for the episode itself, while I did crack a grin at the "beating the tuna" and "Why aren't you up there sleeping with your girlfriend like everyone else" jokes, the whole episode felt rushed and that not as much effort was put into it like previous episodes. There were also times where I questioned why certain footage wasn't used either for joke purposes or serious scenes.

Don't get me wrong, I understand wanting to get Garlic Jr done and over with and I certainly enjoyed watching a new episode, it's just that the execution of using the footage felt weak.
