Aww man. I was really hoping that it'd be something to do with Gohan and Videl's wedding. This is all right though, Bulma's birthday is kind of a good setting for something given that the story started with her and Goku.

I love it.Bils is a gourmet? Bwah? Or maybe, as someone hypothesized, it's mostly something to do with how he destroys things, a comparison perhaps.
Goku and Vegeta not attending kinda fits (though I figure both get in trouble for it, especially Vegeta), and it has potential for hilarity depending on how they work it.
Bils and Whis being a pair seems fitting, given how things have gone so far. I notice they never say anything about Whis being asleep though...so what does he does while Bils is slumbering I wonder?
I facepalmed at Toriyama having forgotten 18's hair color. It's so him, but...wow. I have a horrible memory too, but c'mon Toriyama.
So if this tree is Bils' temple, I'm guessing it has nothing to do with the Makaioshin at all then. So that mystery continues most likely...
Bils being super strong doesn't surprise me, but I like that he's going to have a playful side as well. This should be fun.
And the fact that they had to work the story over quite a few times really makes me hopeful that we're getting something great this time. I already get the feeling this is the first time this much effort has ever been put into a DBZ movie.
