Errrr, the best I can do is chapter 59 of the manga, "The Devil on the Third Floor!!". I was born on the day before it was originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump (9th February 1986).
Otherwise, I was born exactly two weeks before the first episode of the anime was aired.

For me it's episode 122 of Dr. Slump - Arale-chan, Lovable Combots.
Those Kanzenshuu jerks don't cover Dr. Slump.Insertclevername wrote:Also, for anyone using Wikipedia, why not just use this little ol' site called Kanzenshuu and use they're episode guide?

We had a thread like this a long time ago:
So, Chapter 359 was published the Monday before I was born. I'm going to need some food and coffee if I want to adjust for time zones. As for the anime:B wrote:Going by the release of chapters in Weekly SJ and not the tankoubon:
Dragon Ball Chapter 360: Kami-sama and the Demon King Become One, released February 24, 1992, six days after I was born. The chapter title gives away what happens, and it's still the Android Saga.
(Psst! Kanzenshuu staff! Various hanger-on pages from Daizenshuu EX and Kanzentai still remain! And some do not! Such as this extremely useful page I hope comes back soon!)B wrote:Dragon Ball Volume 29, released March 15, 1992. The Z Fighters take on the Androids, with Vegeta now ale to become a Super Saiyan. Androids 17 and 18 are released from their pods. Released a month after I was born.
Dragon Ball Z Episode 128 "Goku, Double Shock!! Caught Between Illness and Adversary" or "Double Trouble for Goku," released February 19, 1992. Goku takes on Android 19, but his heart gives out before the battle finishes. Released one day after I was born.
Wow, the anime was pretty close to the manga back then, and I don't recall any serious filler in the Android Saga to create a good gap. This episode is like what? Three or four chapters behind the manga?

For TV, between DB 137 - Son Goku’s Marriage and DB 138 - The Puzzling Man, Shen. For the manga, DB 203 - Son Goku’s Last Resort!!.

Re: What episode of DB/Z/GT had just aired when you were bor
I was born 5 days after Goku began his search for the super divine water in the ice labyrinth in the anime (episode 115 of DB), and on the same day Goku removed his weighted clothing in his fight with Tenshinhan in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, swiped Ten's sash at lightning fast speed, and made his pants fall in the manga
(chapter 177).
Well actually, since Japan is a day ahead of the US, the former would be 6 days prior to my birth, and the latter would be one day before, huh?

I was born on an actual airdate: episode 285. Mr. Satan helped defeat Buu in this one by getting his fans to give their energy for the genki dama.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Lemme see...... I was born on 12/23/96 (M/D/Y) so that would be 'What a Surprise?! Sugoroku Space’s Big Collapse' airing on 12/11/96......

Well... When I was born, Dragon Ball didn't exist. Toriyama was still doing his Dr. Slump thing and hadn't drawn a single chapter of the Dragon Ball manga yet.

Dr. Slump is older than me by a few years, but I'm a year older than Dragon Ball.
The magical year was 1983. Ronald Reagan got crap for the infamous "Star Wars" defense program, Michael Jackson introduced the moonwalk, and there were two mediocre Bond movies in the cinema. Navarre Corporation was just founded. The Mario Brothers came into being. And two middle-classed parents welcomed into this world a pink blob of potential that would go almost completely to waste, and that blob was me.
And now you know... the rest of the story.

Well...the episode closest to my birthday is number 57 of Dragon Ball Z (aired August 8, 1990). Goku decides to take on 100 times gravity for the first time (doesn't go too well), and Vegeta kills Zarbon.
BUT, chapter 285 of the manga came out in Shonen Jump on August 13, 1990, exactly my birthday. Goku powers up in front of Ginyu and Freeza arrives at Saichoro's place to ultimately go fight Nail.
Both in the Namek arc, but both kinda underwhelming events

First thing I thought of when I saw this thread pop up. That brings back some memories.B wrote:We had a thread like this a long time ago:
