Who cares if it's realistic? It's a video game, based on a completely unrealistic fictional story. If the games took into account realism of the fights that could be made with the characters available, Mr. Satan would be dead. :P
That, and I'm guessing they purposefully made it that repeaditive to reduce the learning curve. Imagine trying to master all the characters styles, you'd spend years, (and while some would find this attractive in a game, I would get fed up trying eventually.) It seems that's a design thing, so that it's easy to play as any character you want.
Best. Slip 'n' slide. EVER!

Mr Satan fought helluva lot more than Chichi, and in more significant fights, even if only for a comedy relief. As such, I see no reason not to include him as a comedy character. But not Chichi. She doesn't work as a comedy fighter, as a serious fighter, she doesn't work as ANYTHING, unless her only move consists of falling on her ass, which would be just stupid.

And what's with all the political correctness? The thing is, there are few female fighters in DBZ period, for reasons I don't care to elaborate. You can like it or hate it or be neutral, but that's the bottom line. No reason to force something that just isn't DBZ into a DBZ game for sake of equality or whatever. While we're at it, why don't we add some token blacks, like Mr Popo or Killer? And hell, gays don't have nearly as much recognition like they should, General Blue and Otoko Suki, here we come! And you know, when I think about it, most of these would STILL be more reasonable than Chichi. I mean, Jesus, of all the people...

Except that Chi-Chi would kick ass as a playable character. She is, by far, the best selling pont that Chou DBZ has. Ignoring 18, and possibly Videl, Chi-Chi is the strongest woman on Earth. Pit here against any DB character who doesn't have Ki control and she'd kick their ass. I say, drop the Ginyu Force (all of them) but put in Chi-Chi. She's better than them.

I say put in more Costumes as aternate choices for characters. One of the biggest oversights (In my opinion anyway) in Budokai 3 was Gohan and Vegeta having Saiyan Battle Armor, but not Future Trunks. Thank goodness the Greatest Hits Special Edition fixed that perceived flaw.

I like the roster in Budokai 3. They could add maybe 5-8 characters and a dozen or so new costumes and have a winning setup. I'm all about costume variants, and it is an area where Budokai 3 really shined.

Here are just some ideas:

Goku - Saiyan Armor, Yardrat uniform
Vegeta - Badman Shirt, Leather jacket and pants (Like Budokai 1)
Gohan (Adult) - Saiyaman uniform unmasked (Like Budokai 2), Kai Uniform

Fat Buu - Skinny Buu as alternate
Tenshinhan - Blue pants with White tank top
Freeza - Alternate color scheme match that of King Kold so Form 2 would at least give the possibility of looking like him.

Nappa - Battle damage with no chest armor

As for additional character ideas:

Chi-chi would be acceptable with her 23rd Budokai uniform and early Z uniform as alternate choice would be cool.

Roshi is always fun to play as and you could have his buff form be his Transformation.

That's all I can think of at the moment. They did a good job with Budokai 3 Special Edition as it is, and I think any company will have a hard time topping that game as the best DBZ fighter.

In the name of all that is good in this world, NO! You know, what you just said reminded me of a hilarious Polish DB commercial by an oblivious TV channel.
"This is Trunks. His power level is as much as 5 units! However, his opponents don't seem to be scared."
"One of the strongest women" may be true, but seeing as female characters don't have much fighting roles, that doesn't really say much. Political correctness, right.

Anyway, let's recap, shall we?
The members of the Ginyu Force can:
- stop time
- change bodies
- paralyze their opponents
- use combo attacks
- use cool ki volleyballs
- and of course do all those kickass poses
- not to mention they actually DID something in the way of fighting in the series
Chichi can:
- fall on her ass
It's party time, Ginyu style!

When I mentioned Mr. Satan, I didn't mean how many times they've fought in the series, I mean that he an Chi Chi are both fighters, but weak compared to the main characters. If you can throw him in, with his weak fighting skills compared to eevryone else, why not Chi Chi?

As for you not seeming to like more female characters in a DBZ game, it's just a GAME. If throwing in some more females makes it more fun, because some people wanted to see / play as a certain character, then isn't that something to consider? Games ARE for fun.
At the least, even if they never throw in obscure characters like Bulma or Launch, they could use fighters like Chi Chi and Pan. Or a movie character like Zangya, who was already in Butoden 2.

:? Wow, someone doesn't wanna play as Chi-Chi? Never thought I'd ever hear that. :P

I've got a few:

Everyone should have their GT and DB selves as alternate costumes, but some (like Kid Goku) would have to be separate, as not to see and SSJ Kid Goku beat the fuck outta Daimao.

Vegeta-Saiyajin armor from the Freeza Saga (The one he died in)
Goku-Outfit worn during the days before the Cell Games

Crap. I gotta go, so I'll add some more later... :?
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

Then they could have his alternate be the Jacki Chun costume. :D And let's not forget the cap and yellow shirt that Piccolo wore during the drivers ed episode, (not sure of the number.) If they give Goku his as well, that would be so funny.

Edit: I also think that they should include Chibi Goku from GT, so that we can have more kick ass little characters. Gohan's okay, but he needs some compitition. :P Then they could make it so that Adult Goku is the one from the Z canon, and have only the first three SSj transformations, and Chibi Goku GT would have all four. The disadvantage with using him would be that he's smaller, (except when he's in four,) and his energy after baseline would drop pretty quickly, (like the show said it did.)

That's just me though, cause I thought Chibi Goku at SSj 3 was insanly cool. :P

ChiChi as a fighter is an insane idea. I mean they could really make her 3D/cellshaded into the game, as they could make Bulma and Lunch. But thats it. Lunch with machineguns would be my choice if I had to choose between the three veteran. It would be better if they where on the map, standing still just to give you capsules. I would like to see Kami-sama too. And Master Karin.

Yes, they could add funky Goku and Piccolo driver costume, if they equip general vest.. would be awsome.

I would like to see, Pan from Dragon Ball GT, with her red karate gi from episode 2 as an alternate outfit. Blonde Lunch (the good one would be just useless :D ) with her machine guns. ChiChi from late Dragon Ball, as she appears on Chou Dragon Ball Z. Bra from Dragon Ball GT, since she can fly she probably she do a bit more. Bulma with Namek outfit, she could throw capsules. Oolong could use his shapeshifting abilitys, and Garlic Junior for that fact that he is always dennied. Plus General Blue, Piccolo Daimao, Kami-sama, Paikuhan, GT Goten and Trunks and Freeza's son Kuriza  .

I know that most of this characters would never be playable, it is just my dream.

Actually, Pan, Chichi, Oolong, Blue, Piccolo Daimao, Paikuhan, GT Trunks, and Kuriza have all been playable in a game up to now.
Just not all in one. And not all in a fighting game.

It would be nice to have them all in one fighting game. I'm just tired of the
of the same typical characters in a DB game, I would like to see characters that are more obscure as mention before. Just a little bit of everything.

Heh heh, thank the webmaster for the crafty use of a search bar. I hunted down one of my old posts that showed how Roshi could have worked in Budokai 3. Damn Dimps, why they didn't think up this idea is anyone's guess. Note: the quote has a couple updated additions.
Conan the SSJ wrote:Roshi already had moves in the first place, examples being his original DragonBall fights with Kid Goku, Tenshinhan, and King Piccolo. The Mafuba (Demon Containment) in this game would simply kick ass, especially if it'd be made like Majin Vegeta's Final Explosion: a one shot kill with a deadly risk. Give Roshi Mafuba and Maxi Kamehame-Ha (among other techniques I could mention), and he could fly all over the galaxy for all I could care.

In fact, here's how they could have done him in Budokai 3:

R1 Transformation - Maxi-Form.
<E - Kamehame-Ha.
>E - Lightning Flash Surprise.
L1 Throwing move - Sleepy Hypnotism.
Certain Combo finishes - Types of Drunken Boxing.
Teleporting Appearance - After Image.
Dragon Rush Finish - Maxi Kamehame-Ha.
Ultimate Move - Mafuba.
