Chuquita wrote:*Wonders if Goku would move to Suno's village and they'd live there together in this theoretical timeline.* He'd probably have to get a cold-weather version of his gi made considering how not-so-well Goku handles the cold.
I can visualize his gi like Goten's. Blue shirt with long sleeves and a scarf. Maybe even a cape like Tenshinhan. Actually the Hero's outfit of DBH would be very similar as how I think he would dress like.
Chuquita wrote:They'd probably still name their first son (assuming it's a son) Gohan, only I feel like Suno would be a less strict mama than Chi-Chi (allowing Goku to train with him), and also Suno's Gohan would be a redhead like her, because why not.
Yes, red haired half-saiyan. 8) 100% approve.
Chuquita wrote:Living in a village would probably change some dynamics around too, because suddenly Gohan's got a "hometown" and growing up with other little kids around him. Goku's also suddenly got neighbors and people who'd see him everyday. It'd definitely be different than what happens in the canon, what with Chi-Chi and Mt. Paozu and them pretty much living in isolation.
In a way I think they would still move to Mt. Paozu but living in the village has much more potential and I would totally love to see the interactions there. He would be a well known hero of the village and I can even see Suno becoming the Mayor once she's an adult. Hatchan would take the place of Gyumao, looking after and playing with "Gohan".

Heck, I loved the anime filler with her during the Piccoro Daimao Arc. Taking that into consideration, she met one of the most powerful villains at the time... AND SURVIVED. She was kind of willing to use the rifle and that says a lot about how would she react to futures threats in Z. Allowing "Gohan" to train even if she doesn't like it is very likely (seriously, what mother would like their 4-5 year old to risk their life in battle like that anyway??).

::Back to the movie::

I believe maybe the Pilaf Gang looking young might actually have something to do with Bills/Birusu. Maybe he overhead Bulma complaining in her birthday about how unfair is that they have to age while the Saiyans stay the same and he wanted to pull some kind of prank? And Vegeta has his delighted face to see teenage Bulma? (and that finishes with Bulma giving him the finger)

Image Red haired Gohan!!

Yeah, I hope the movie elaborates on what Mai and company have been doing these past 2 decades, I just don't want them appearing out of nowhere without a tale of their suffering. Something along the lines of they had to work as custodians for a museum to keep their castle, or work as fast food patrons, open their house to admission.
That time your teacher asked you to draw Cell in biology class.
This man is my hero:
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

Is there any way of knowing how many advanced tickets have been sold so far?

No really, they're not related in the sense DragonBoxZTheMovies implied. They're used in the 4 dimentional model to explain the motion of natural objects. It would be like saying length and width are related, they're related when calculating one given surface, but nothing more. Time and space are related when calcuting a velocity, but traveling in space doesn't make you aged faster or become youth. Don't confuse space and movement: it's an object in motion that experiences time at a slower rate than one at rest, not an object in outer space.

I don't think I said/implied anything about travelling in space. :?

Then there is even less relation. An object which is in outer space and doesn't move, and an object on Earth that doesn't move experience time exactly the same.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just give it three months, and when the time comes he'll look like an utter douche and we can toss our heads back and laugh.

And if he's right, I'll have one less item of clothing in my possession

I find it interesting just how many different facets this fandom has. What I'm looking for in BOG is completely different than what I feel like a good chunk of YouTube--including the guy behind this video--is looking for. They want to see ssj55.6 to the 10th power. I want to see a fun, well-written story.

The BOG logo is really easy to slap onto things if you know how to extract it from the site.

The people who typically do manage to get VJump early, I've noticed, are those who have more interest in Yugioh cards than anything else, so it's doubtful any new DB scans will appear ahead of street date. If anything pops up ahead of time, it'll be an ad in Weekly Shounen Jump; as spoilers for that magazine in general are already in the process of being translated as far as I know. Those who get a hold of Weekly Shounen Jump early are much more thorough.
On hiatus.

Ah, I can only dream of a limited theater release here. I still have fond memories of seeing movies 6 and 12 in Manhattan.

And I still remember hearing the guy behind me exclaim, "Oh shit, it's Freeza!"

I continue to be amused at how the made-up photoshopped fan rumors about what will be in this movie are in fact considerably less far-out and wild than the things actually confirmed to be in the movie. According to the fake fan ads, this movie will contain characters we've seen before and transformations we've seen before, but different combinations of the two. Whereas according to the real ads, this movie will contain a purple cat man gourmet who beats Goku with one finger, his swirly-haired mage buddy, inexplicably doll-sized Pilaf and co., exploding hourglasses, hipster Videl, and Vegeta making the weirdest expression you ever did see.

Having caught up on that stuff.... that's a shame.

Heh, I'm sure we'll be too busy enjoying the movie to even give "Unreal" a second thought.

Re: Sinestro

The short-lived "Sean Schemmel: Daizenshuu EX forum member" arc was definitely something else. Interesting times. I don't know if we'd know any more about current DB-related ongoings or not if he were still active, since he's not directly at Funi anymore.

Being able to see BOG in one of the theaters local to me would be amazing. I never got to see Funi's limited theater releases, but I can imagine it was a lot of fun to be in that audience.

Re: Herms

It is amusing. X3
I think it also just reinforces the feeling of how heavily-Toriyama this movie has the potential to be, and for me that's a good thing. I've read he was really fired up to help work on this film and from what we've seen so far it really shows. I feel like BOG is going to be a more action-packed Jump 08 special rather than something in the vein of "Plot to Destroy" or EoB.

I'm excited for the crazy, out-there stuff. Bring on the ludicrously-cheery Vegeta, tiny Pilaf Gang, and magical purple kitty with destruction-finger! :3
Can't wait for that VJump issue next Monday. (Maybe even Sunday for me with the time zone differences.)

A ton of fun. Especially since I was surrounded by people who had never seen movie 12 before.

I don't remember it, I'm sorry. It was something that wasn't very obvious and there may have been a number at the end. (Maybe something volcanic? I could be way off-base though) I feel like this had to be back in 06-07 at least because it was before definitely pre-LAM. I don't even know what keywords to use that wouldn't net me an impossible-to-shift-through number of results.

Schemmel went by the name Solarmax20.

On the subject of animators I'd like to see involved with this movie, something from Kuroyanagi Kenji would be awesome.
