I've always been curious to see if we could get the Japanese voices with the Faulconer soundtrack.
I run through both dual audio options on the DBZ LEVELS 1.1 and 1.2

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

How are you guys all watching the Ocean dub?

Funimation's dub of Dragon Ball is top notch. DBZ Orange bricks are decent enough. Not heard GT but it would be cool to watch it with the same voices from DBZ. Kai is really good in terms of stopping the 'powering up' type filler but I miss all the filler sidestories.

Otherwise, I prefer the Ocean dubs. Drummond, McNeil & Morrow are my favourite voices for Vegeta, Piccolo and Goku, though Sean Schemmel isn't that bad. I watched the season sets of Freeza saga there and when it switched between the newly dubbed eps and the eps dubbed years and years ago (when he is in the recuperating chamber) it was apparent he's gotten a lot better and he's very good in Kai.

Mostly Funi, followed by Japanese but I do like to go back and watch some early Z in the Ocean dub for the nostalgia. Most of the later Ocean stuff I only saw in clips but I wasn't a big fan of what I saw (mostly music and some characters voices bugged me). Also I'm not a big fan of mixing music so I usually have the funi music with funi dialogue and jpn music with jpn dialogue (not really a choice there). Also sometimes I'll turn the subtitles on even though its in english and see if I can spot the differences.

The Bardock TV special is probably the only part of the show that I actually prefer to listen to in Japanese.

I like Sonny Strait's Bardock but it's the script of the entire thing which I don't like.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

I like to watch the little black and white pictures in the manga. Those are pretty rad.

All of it for me is in Japanese except a few specials and I will watch Kai in English. However if I'm feeling nostalgic I will watch the original funimation dub of DB and DBZ. As for the specials I prefer in English, Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge, and Broly the Legendary SSJ. I prefer them in English because *hides* I like the american soundtrack.

Japanese all the way nowadays.

I might one day watch GT with the English dub again for nostalgic reasons. Want to see how it is with the Japanese score too.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.
