They used that for the Superman vs Goku video and even as a Dub fan it hurt.

Anyway, the one thing I'm sick of is the whole "10 episodes of standing still/screaming at each other and one episode of fighting" joke casual and non Dragonball fans make. It's such a lame, tired joke that got old way before even Kai started showing up.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

To be fair, Goku still spent 6 episodes in the rejuvenation chamber, even being Kai.

There's quite a difference between spending 6 episodes removed from the story and being said to spend that many episodes merely powering up.

People still say and I don't think it will never change.

I agree with the jokes about how long it takes to do anything.

Also,

Most people view DBZ as a joke. The show will always be view as a show with "people blowing up shit and powering up for five minutes" to most people in the US. People are always like that with other popular Japanese franchises as well like with Godzilla by saying that all of the movies are cheesy and stupid.

-arguing about which romanization of X character's name is better
-arguing about which translation of sento ryoku is better
-arguing about what is or isn't canon (if you like something, just let it "count" in your head, because no one cares)

However, something I can never hear enough of is the Hindi version of Rock the Dragon where they sing about Mr. Miyagi and add lyrics to the guitar solo

I think the people who wank GT enough will say that.

Do you legitimately see people arguing about this stuff, or are these just conversations you see that you personally have no interest in?

It might not seem like a difference, but I think there is -- disparaging a conversation you have no interest in is just as bad :(.

(OK, I've definitely seen the "OMG CANNON" arguments in plenty of places...)

It happens. I've seen it here, even. And someone has gone as far as to claim the anime has fixed all of the manga's plotholes.

Sorry for an in universe thing but I'll keep it to the painfully stupid that there is no argument.

-Ultimate Gohan was equal to Bootenks (They probably got that from the DB wiki where it says that)
-Goku and Vegeta are stronger then Ultimate Gohan in base during Boo saga (Someone actually believes this because of the inside Boo filler)
-Goku could have beat Cell but chose not to

Back to regular

-Pan hate( OMG Blasphemy, but seriously I got used to complainers and prefer them to fucking purity sues)
-Saiyaman hate. (Gohan is a dork and it's totally understandable what he does, maybe he does the Saiyaman job over the top, but who wouldn't act like him with his powers)
-Over 9000 (self explanatory)
-Stephanie Gohan (my opinion)
-Dub/Sub wars (seriously people have to be assholes to other people's preferences and believe their single dub or the sub is perfect and everything else is shit)
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I'll second not wanting to hear the Saiyaman hate. I also dislike that people give him flak for not training over those 7 years.

I really think he should have spent a little time training, But I don't blame him for not doing it. He just doesn't like fighting and that's that.

I do think he shouldn't have completely slacked off, but I think it's an innocent mistake to make.

Gohan just isn't into fighting. Plain and simple. He really only trained when he either felt he had no choice or Goku and/or Piccolo forced him to. Chi Chi wouldn't permit it, so it's logical to assume that he wouldn't continue with it.

Not a fan of Stephanie Gohan. Never been. Colleen Gohan is a massive improvement, but Seffron Henderson wasn't too bad back in the day either.

Chi-Chi permitted it with Goten, and he definitely wanted to in preparation for the Androids and Cell.

But I'm still fine with him choosing not to after Cell was defeated.
