Re: State of the Kanzenshuu: Phase 3 Begins
As we slowly role everything out, editing and publishing privileges will be limited. This will of course change as its development progresses and the community becomes more accustomed to its operation. As Mike mentioned, you will have to be a member of the community. However, not every person in the community will be able to edit and publish content in the Wiki. We haven't quite determined who will have privileges, and who won't, but if need be, any editing will have to be approved by an authorized moderator before it will even be visible. All-in-all, we're going to do everything in our power to prevent unwarranted editing in order to maintain the consistency we're looking for. So yeah, obviously we won't be letting just anyone edit pages, especially anyone not a member of the community.

I only hope that the limit won't be a set amount of posts on the forum - as I'm a typical lurker and in all probability will stop being a "Newbie" only after 100+ years... I only write when I have something really important to say and most of the time, everything is already said by the time I get around to posting anything. On the other hand I have some experience with wikipedia and wikia editing so I'd be interested in contributing to the more "technical" part of the writing of articles.Hujio wrote:As we slowly role everything out, editing and publishing privileges will be limited. Aside from the title under your name, the staff has put very little emphasis on post count. I highly doubt they'll start now.Tzigi wrote:I only hope that the limit won't be a set amount of posts on the forum - as I'm a typical lurker and in all probability will stop being a "Newbie" only after 100+ years... If you're not here soon... GET ON!
Re: State of the Kanzenshuu: Phase 3 Begins
What if we had a sub-forum or a specific thread for the Wiki? One where people could post drafts of articles and things they wanted to put on the Wiki? Other members could proofread and check it before it gets posted?
Either way, I'm stoked for this. I'm already estimating the number of days I'll spend reading it!

There's already the "Staff Help Requests" sub-forum that we'll be using to coordinate things like page structures, etc.
Each page of a wiki already comes with its own "Discussion" sub-page which we will of course encourage people to use.

The content is the staff-vetted version of everything. There's also tons of crossover for the type of content that could appear in both places in different ways, and even more opportunities for content which is not purely-data-driven (like our "Features") to focus on.

I forget, is each named character going to their own page? And what about the voice actors and staff members?
