Heh, not surprised. I had to copy the text to something else to read it on so my eyes didn't bleed...then it was just my brain hating me for reading it.

I almost feel kind of bad cuz all I'm posting here is the stuff that I remember well for being horrible, but in all honesty, I'm having a hard time remembering anything particularly good that isn't already talked about elsewhere. Heck, my favorite two fics are written by members from this community, so...It just goes to show that I need to start reading fanfiction again and see what I'm missing.

Good fanfics? Hmm.... I never read too many but I remember that there was "Temple of Zarbon"-type site that had a fanfic on him where he was the prince of his planet (Freeza would annihilate races and kidnap the strongest child), there was some chick who taught him about how that certain outfit would enable him to transform but then the Ginyu Squad assassinated her because Freeza thought she was making Zarbon "too soft."

I don't remember who wrote it or what it was called but I remember someone wrote a pro-Funimation fanfiction where Funi staff were portrayed as the Z Fighters and Haim Saban was portrayed as Raditz + Nappa/Vegeta and instead of destroying the world they were going to "censor the world".

One of the lines was something like "replace all blood with chocolate."

Here's one that most would be shocked to hear; this fanfiction is surprisingly pretty good. Still don't support the pairing, but it does make it somewhat believable.

I also have made two attempts at a fanfiction; one in late 2008 and one in mid-2011 where I tried crossing over many franchises into the Dragon Ball universe. Neither got past the first few chapters and my first attempt was completely awful (my second attempt probably wouldn't have turned out to be any good either, though it was a step up from my first attempt). To this day, I cringe at how I handled my first fanfiction. I'm surprised that I'm even thinking about a third attempt this time, though by this time, I've dropped the script format and don't plan to start it until I'm much more informed on anime in general (and I still need to get the DBZ manga) (haven't completed a fanfiction yet, but I now see why script format is so looked down upon).

Edit: Another memorable fanfiction is Bringer of Death. Still ongoing, but it's one of the best fanfiction I've ever read within the DBZ community

I don't remember if this was a submitted fanfic or something posted on the old dbzoa board but I remember someone doing a storyline where Garfield challenges Goku to an eating contest, incredulous that anyone could out-eat him. It was pretty humorus and well-done.
