Yeah, I suspect that there's still more to Whis, and that "Bilus' attendant" is just his secret identity, so to speak. They've been so keen to point out how mysterious he is that that I think there must be some, well, mystery to him, and that his secrets are still being kept for the movie. But I could be wrong, and it could just be that the reason they haven't told us much about him is because there's not much to tell.

I'm hoping that there is more to Whis than expected - maybe he wants Bils out of the way so that he can be the one in charge, or something - but the 'mystery' of him could just mean that not much is known about him. I could see them doing it that way too.

I think it's a given. I mean from what we know now is that he gets beat In the first fight against Bilus, so what could he possibly do but come up with a new technique.

I think it's a given. I mean from what we know now is that he gets beat In the first fight against Bilus, so what could he possibly do but come up with a new technique.

Goku with a new power-up/technique would be my preferred finisher, but I feel like I still don't have enough info to count out my other theory of them winning via genki-dama (even though they timeline-wise "just recently" defeated Buu with a genki-dama) simply because of just how often it shows up in the movies.
For a while I thought there might be Gogeta, but from what little I gather about the power level debate stuff, Vegetto's a lot stronger than Gogeta, so math-wise it wouldn't make sense for Gogeta to beat Birusu if Vegetto could've beat Buu.


Also, I want new!technique/power-up Goku to be the final "mystery-figure" in the WCF lineup. >_>

My own guess on if Goku does get a new power-up and if they need a name for it they'd probably come up with something separate of the whole ssj thing if only because ssj4 already exists; they couldn't call it ssj5 if it takes place before GT, so...maybe they'll have the name of the form preceded by a different stock "power-up" word like ultra, hyper, mega, or giga?

It is possible Gogeta might be around for a little while, just as an attempt, but ultimately failing. I feel like Movie 12 being the big Gogeta-saves-the-day film also aides in taking away some of the odds that he might be the one to win this time.

Well, this should (hopefully?) be a big info-week between whatever might be in Weekly Jump (even though everything I've heard thus far isn't related to the plot) and then the Chozenshuu release on Tuesday (Monday for me) might give us a good idea of what types of powers Birusu has. The chozenshuu thread said the book listed some of his powers, but the scan was too blurry to read so presumably once Julian gets a hold of the book on the 5th, the translation may give some indirect spoilers?

This would be quite interesting, but not at all likely. Imagine Goku reaching a state that gives clues of the existence of a transformation beyond SSJ3. Have no one witness this, and Goku having no recollection of almost reaching it. Then show that the elder Kaioshin actually witnessed it, therefore explaining why the elder Kaioshin knew of the existence of SSJ4.
But like I said, I really don't see Toei connecting Battle of Gods to GT in any way, shape or form.

Not all that much really, sorry. ^^;

I've never been a fan of ssj3's hairless neanderthal brows and Raditz-hair, or ssj4's eyeshadow-esque outline thing going on. While I do like the golden irises, that's about it concerning the linked piece, sorry to say.
I kinda like that ssj4 has black hair and red fur; it sets it apart from the other ssj forms and I don't really think I'd want that to be all gold.

I guess I'm looking more for something that branches off of either base, ssj1, or ssj2 then? I dunno.
