Is this true? What book appears this information?

Are you sure it's not a corruption of "changeling"?Rayodball wrote:A few minutes ago I found a video on Youtube arguing already knew the name of Freeza's race, which was "Changlong".![]()

MY HOLY GRAIL (110% Serious. Please sell me one)Mayuri Kurotsuchi wrote:"In this world, nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all but it's the way things are. That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"
"Freeza Clan" is what is used for the game, and is probably the closest thing we are going to get for an official name of their race.Rayodball wrote:And with the emergence of HEROES game in Japan, I assumed that perhaps they mentioned it since there are 3 new characters with characteristics similar to those of Freeza and his family.
While it's true that the only two canon members of Freeza's species (and two of the three non-canon members) have name puns associated with cold, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's something associated with the entire race. It could be no different than just a tradition that all the male members of Freeza's family line are named after that (would be similar to, say, me starting a tradition where my first born daughter is named after a flower, and her first born daughter would be named after a flower, and so on). We can't exactly make assumptions about an entire race based on a very small, family unit with (as said) only two canon members.Daimakku wrote:I just know his "race" as icejinn. Makes sense since all of his family's names seem to be composed of things having to do with cold.
That would explain why Freeza, Cold and Coola look different.Fox666 wrote:Freeza has never been given any official name regarding what kind of alien he is. In fact, when asked about his race, Toriyama said that he probably doesn't even have a race, but is some sort of hybrid.
Which means he is an offspring resulting from cross-breeding of two different race, this means he has two races (or more if his parents are also hybrids).Fox666 wrote:Freeza has never been given any official name regarding what kind of alien he is. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.
But...when people say Freeza's family have a "cold" theme, they mean "cold" as in low temperures, not the illness (and the two aren't even homonyms in Japanese). Well, I guess if you don't care, you don't care.mister yummy wrote:I've said it before. Kuriza IS a cold pun. One of the medical words for the common cold, coryza, is pronounced almost identically. It may be a coincidence, but I don't care.
