Like, it does stick out, but I'm not sure if "guidin'," would have the same connotations you're going for.
I figure it's a common enough word that Goku would learn it from context eventually. At the very least, it's the kind of word Chi-Chi would probably use pretty often.
I mean, I can get behind. It just seemed odd at first.
So they're both correct. I personally use "alright" in the context of, say, "Alright, let's go," and "all right" in "It's all right". But maybe that's weird.

Gah, how many times am I gonna have to re-download this fanfiction. Are the rewritings simply because of things you already want to fix, or is it more of a 'depending on what Battle of Gods may or nay not unveil for me to work with' thing?

"Alright" and "all right" are both correct.
"Already" means something that has happened prior to a specific time ("He was already there", "He will have already been there", etc.), or as what it called an intensive ("Will you just get here, already?").
"All ready" is two separate words that, when combined, imply being completely ready ("Are you all ready to go?").
But enough with the grammar lessons, let's all hound Kaboom to hurry and finish.

99% is just a whole lot of the former, and the remaining 1% remains for anything the latter has a slim chance of changing about those early chapters. SO FAR, the only thing Battle of Gods already has potential to change is Gohan's Super Saiyan status. Beyond that, not much. I'm still holding off until after the movie to work on those rewrites either way, just to be safe.
Y'mean, if they give a reason for his Super Saiyan status in BoG you'll incorporate that, and if they don't you'll just be like "Well fuck you BoG, I'll just ignore you"?
Because you could easily just go with the latter regardless of what happens in BoG. Do iiiiiiiiit.

If Battle of Gods does give a reason for Gohan's regained Super Saiyan, then yeah, I'll easily be able to incorporate it. If not, then I'll just go with the reason I already had planned, and the only difference will be that it doesn't come as a surprise to the other characters.
The one thing that could make a big difference is if Battle of Gods actually makes Gohan significantly weaker overall somehow, like if Birusu really does have time-manipulation powers and rolls him back to his early Boo-arc self or something. THAT could wreak some serious havoc with later parts of GTR's story as planned.
Ahh, all right. I can totally understand that. I mean, that's why I'm dragging my feet in the planning stages of a fanfic of my own, is because I really want to know what's gonna happen in Battle of Gods first, to know what parts of what I already have planned are gonna need massive revision already. With the movie coming out in March, I may as well wait and see what I learn from that point forward.
Anything new we get after that, I'll likely just have to ignore it though, unless it's just so awesome that I have to retcon something.

You all feel free to go ahead and make that your desktop backgrounds or something. By the way, this artwork actually contains a minor clue/spoiler for Chapter 17. If you've got any guesses, either keep them to yourselves or just PM me or something.
Hey, lookit that. I actually cranked something out in a timely manner as promised! Maybe this chapter will be done in the next few days, after all. Keep your fingers crossed, but keep those hands raised and the genki coming. If I do get it done and posted by Valentine's Day, though, the artwork and other supplementary goodies will have to wait until a few days after, like last time.
I like it! Definitely love the color scheme and design. It has a cool trendy atmosphere to it. Reminds me of an album cover or something. (GT cover band? lol)
I like how your art still keeps alive a lot of the same atmosphere from GT. I can't quite articulate this into words, but GT has this sort of look to it. Not really dark either. Nonetheless, I feel you capture a lot of why I'm so attracted to GT, visually speaking that is. However you do modernize it and give it a nice dose of your personal art style, which is always cool.
It's also my desktop now too!

Pan looks awesome there, but also older than I would have thought. Does GTR follow the Japanese version or the dub in the time it's set (5 or 10 years) after Z?

The latter, mostly. It starts with the 31st World Tournament, exactly 9 years after Goku took off with Oob at the 28th. So Pan is 13 at the onset and still so presently in the story. I once juggled the ideas, but it's just too fun to write her and Bra as not-so-typical teenage girls.

Wouldn't that make her 14? I thought she was only 4 in the funi dub, and 5 in the Japanese version of the 28th Budokai.

It's so beautiful! I set it as my wallpaper for my android phone but I can only make it wide enough for Goku, Pan, and Trunks, not Gill. But hell, I'm not complaining.
Great work as usual, I'm loving the Pan re-design (though I never had a problem with her actual design either), this gets me pumped up for that next chapter.
Hmm...did you tinker with Giru's design a bit? He looks less...short...or something. Less ball-like. Maybe it's just me.

I'm not sure, maybe he does tend to look less round when I draw him. I often don't think twice when I do since he's got such a simple design, so perhaps subtle differences have crept their way in.
So is Super Saiyan God gonna effect the story. Ultimate Gohan may not get an explanation so it won't change anything, but SSJG is now apparently real and could be either 1 time or forever.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
