James Bond theme snuck into Kimi ga Hero?
The AB dub of Movie six offers karaoke versions of the opening and ending songs.
Then I heard this

Perhaps this is why
Lyrics: Dai Satō, Music: Chiho Kiyoka, Arrangement: Kenji Yamamoto, Vocals: Hironobu Kageyama & Yuka

On the subject of Bond didn't Shunsuke Kikuchi have a Bond-esc piece in that movie? Also we should keep quite, we wouldn't want another Yamamoto incident.

Aha, nice find. Incidentally, the Korean dub too has the Karaoke version of Kimi ga Hero, which sounds slightly better: http://yahoo.jp/box/MseTQT

I believe there was also a piece used in the Buu arc that also had a resemblance with the James Bond theme. I'll have to dig that up, perhaps it will make a nice podcast email.

Most of the DragonBall - Red Ribbon Army Soundtracks ( Shunsuke Kikuchi ) are inspired from 007's theme .
Re: James Bond theme snuck into Kimi ga Hero?
Most of? They're only four or five tracks that contain General Blue's leitmotif, which is based on the 007 theme. Speaking of the 007-esque tracks of the Kikuchi score, as I said before, I'm almost sure that the director told him to write such pieces.TheRed259 wrote:Most of the DragonBall - Red Ribbon Army Soundtracks ( Shunsuke Kikuchi ) are inspired from 007's theme .

I've been meaning to find all of them.TheRed259 wrote:Most of the DragonBall - Red Ribbon Army Soundtracks ( Shunsuke Kikuchi ) are inspired from 007's theme .

As Kei17 said, only General Blue's leitmotif bgm's were inspired by 007. There were 3 of them to be exact. A slow, medium and fast leitmotif, with the fast one being released.matt0044 wrote:I've been meaning to find all of them.TheRed259 wrote:Most of the DragonBall - Red Ribbon Army Soundtracks ( Shunsuke Kikuchi ) are inspired from 007's theme .
This is the fast released one. It's the first bgm you hear.

So I wasn't hearing things when I watched Drandosk's fanmade Andorid Saga power level video with Bond-like music kicking in with #19 and #20.

I brought this up on another thread. There actually is a complete rip of the 007 theme in one episode that is part of an unreleased track. I heard it and had to rewind it, and yeah, it was there. If I remember correctly it had basically the same notes as the Bond theme during the gun barrel sequence. It was from one of the blue episodes in the cave
