Is this guy retarded or mentally ill?
Yeah, learning Japanese is so easy, you can go trough the kanji like 500 signs a weekend, no prob. In one week, you can talk like Kansai resident and no-one will notice.

Oh, yeah, of course, it's so simple! I'll get right on that! Be back in five!

-Power level lists, and endless power level arguments.
-I could do without seeing the orange uniform for a while, I don't dislike it but it got tiring, I always liked better seeing Goku, Krillin and Yamcha in other clothes.

Yes, yes, yes.
One of the few things I love about GT with no qualifiers was the redesign of everybody.
Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
Yes. I understand those being worn in the first three Tankaichi Bodukais, but the rest of the time PEOPLE NEED TO GET SOME NEW F***ING CLOTHES.Saiyan Femme wrote:-Power level lists, and endless power level arguments.

Seriously, why is Goku ALWAYS wearing that thing even in his everyday life? There isn't any reason at all to wear it to the Saiyan fight, on Namek, during the android/Cell arc, while training, while dead, while back from the dead...

I liked that one normal everyday outfit Goku had when he went looking for a new kamisama, right before the Cell Games.
And I can't tell if I really like his Yadrat clothes a whole lot or if it was just the relief of finally seeing him in something different.

With Goku, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo, I generally don't care, but with Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Kuririn, Yamcha, etc.... it's a little odd to almost always see them in the same exact clothes in every situation, especially since those guys actually have (somewhat) normal lives. Sometimes it seems like the only person with more than one outfit is Bulma.

I also don't like discussions about battle powers, mostly when someone uses battle powers to compare characters post-Freeza. I like comparing who is stronger than who, but it gets annoying when actual (fan-made) battle powers get into the discussion.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I remember being involved on several threads that argued that Vegeta's ki blast on Cell was the only reason Gohan beat Cell as Super Perfect Cell > SSJ2, which makes zero sense whatsoever. Cell is close to that level but he is certainly not anywhere close to Gohan's full power.Rod wrote:Vegeta beat cell? Oh god and looking above posts that cry that Kid Buu is the strongest form of Buu. Christ.
...and those arguments went on for years.

Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
Well, it is arguable that if Vegeta hadn't distracted Cell much better (much better than the others were I mean) at that final moment, that Gohan never would have gotten the jump on Cell with that final push of energy - but in terms of Vegeta's blast actually damaging or hurting Cell? That's definitely a leap in logic.Diotor wrote:I remember being involved on several threads that argued that Vegeta's ki blast on Cell was the only reason Gohan beat Cell as Super Perfect Cell > SSJ2, which makes zero sense whatsoever. "Saiya-jin", unless the person is speaking Japanese or explaining/mentioning that Saiyans are called Saiya-jins in the Japanese version.
Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
Hehehe I call them Saiyajin, done it my whole life, that's the term they use in the Mexican dub, which I grew up with.ringworm128 wrote:"Saiya-jin", unless the person is speaking Japanese or explaining/mentioning that Saiyans are called Saiya-jins in the Japanese version.
Same goes for Pikkoro, (And some other names) although I started saying Piccolo more and more since I joined the boards

What about "SSJ"? I add the "J" just to make the acronym stand out more. "SS" seems too bland in my opinion.
