GT doesn't jive with this movie either, for a number of reasons, one of which is the ages of the Pilaf gang at the beginning...

You're missing the point of my statement. I'm not implying GT is in the same continuity, I'm implying that the ssj4 having red fur makes sense since the most powerful Ssj form has red hair.

Why does it matter what color hair SSG has though if GT and this movie are different continuities? How can something that never happened validate the SS4's hair color? That's like using scenes from the One Piece crossover to explain stuff in the manga...or using a theoretical vision of what could have happened if Russia took over the world to explain our current economy, "the economy sucks because america is communist"

Pan is being born to the most powerful Saiyan... Pan will be incredibly powerful, not to mention Trunks and Goten transformed very early.

But still, Pan isn't in the condition to be any powerful at all, since she shouldn't even have a proper body, judging from Videl's appearance (she doesn't even appear to be pregnant). Like you said, Pan will be very powerful, but what she will be in the future is irrelevant during the movie. If the others had to become Super Saiyans, then Pan should transform as well. But her body is not a body yet.

Nothing has been said about Pan being born insanely powerful or anything though (though she's definitely pretty tough given that she can already fly around the world a few times at the age of 4!), she's just the required sixth Saiyan.

One more piece of info before actually getting asleep. Gods have their holy power that cannot be sensed by humans including Saiyans, and you can have such power by becoming SSJG. I think this explains why only Piccolo could somewhat sense Kaioshin's power at Tenkaichi Budokai.

He doesn't use SSJ3 after that. He uses SSJ2 only when he explains Super Saiyan to Birusu.

In regard to the subject of Gohan's hair that is never going to go away I think it's all rather obvious that:

A) Despite what that dude said on Twitter the production staff, like in GT, forgot about Gohan's Ultimate form. The blatant recolouration of the promotional material from yellow to black proves this. They forgot, the fans went crazy and they fixed it.
B) Super Saiyan is a key device in Dragonball Z that people associate and identify with. When devising a 'Super Saiyan God' form it's clear that they wanted to embed this with visual affirmation of Super Saiyans.
C) It draws a line once and for all - as now we see on our screens Gohan using both his Ultimate Form and his Super Saiyan. It fits with GT but stops short of validating it. Everyone's happy!

But anyway, come to think of it... About Gohan's hair, but in a different sense. From the screencaps, it looks like he's sporting his all-gelled-up look from the manga's epilogue and GT, but somehow that one big bang works its way back down when he changes clothes to fight...?

Also, that would be three overall costume changes for Gohan over the course of the movie, it seems. Classy bespectacled civvies -> Saiyaman uniform -> Kame-school colors gi.

Yeah, they did. This part where they all gather around to donate power to Goku is similar to them loaning him their "Saiya power" in GT's Baby arc. Oddly enough, Pan's there in both cases, if I remember right.

Goku said Vegeta once had surpassed him, so I guess he became stronger than SSJ3 Goku.

Goku could also mean that Vegeta surpassed Goku in his Super Saiyan 2 form (assuming that Vegeta was also in his SS2 form), since last time, they were equals. But I guess I should wait to see the whole scene myself to judge. Besides, it doesn't make much sense for Vegeta to surpass Super Saiyan 3 Goku with Super Saiyan 2, since we never saw Vegeta becoming many times stronger because of his anger. I would buy it if it was SS2 Gohan, but Vegeta? Seems very strange to me.

Anyway, thanks for all the awesome information so far! Everything I've heard about the movie sounds awesome so far! (Except for the fact that Gotenks apparently didn't transform into a Super Saiyan 3, but since he wouldn't make any difference, and since Gotenks can be excused for not transforming, since he is an idiot.)

Half-Saiyans have regular human hair. He can comb and uncomb his hair at will.
