With that strength you gave them, they still wouldn't be anywhere close to relevant.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Well, shows what I know. Though I don't get how did he end up so strong, if he was like 13,000 after having his potential unlocked by Guru.TheMightyOzaru wrote:Except Krillin was 75,000 on Namek...hleV wrote:Not stronger than 50,000, though I'm not sure about Tenshinhan.
Anyway, new number:
Not more than 100,000 though not sure about Tenshinhan.

Krillin is also confirmed to be stronger than Tenshinhan multiple times.... Well I've always believed if you continuously train you will always get stronger. Yeah since Krillin and Ten likely never find any exponential potential increases they don't grow a lot but I don't think it's too farfetched to claim that these guys have surpassed Freeza's second form with 10+ years of training, I have krillin at 2,077,500.hleV wrote:Well, shows what I know. Re: Strength of the humans in Buu Saga?
Let's go through their relevancy here:Zombie wrote:They need to be this strong to even show up at the android arc. They were still semi relevant back there.
- Yamcha: Being impaled and informing the others about the energy draining of 19 and 20.
- Kuririn: Falling in love with 18 and crushing the remote.
- Tenshinhan: Holding back an unsuspecting Semi-Perfect Cell, who wasn't even scratched afterwards (to add with a technique which amplifies you power greatly, as in not being your true power).
That's how relevant they were. I can only see Tenshinhan having any part in the battle, and to add, we can't really know how much the Kikoho amplified his power, especially since he had to let out all of his power just to push back Semi-Perfect Cell a little.

Guess it all comes to personal opinion, but for me they have to be this strong to even show up when Piccolo said that they don't show up if they couldn't fight. Besides 20 said Yamcha had a lot of energy.

There is basically no reliable method to gauge these characters in a meaningful way after the Namek Arc. But heck, do they ever do anything that matters that much in terms of combat capability? Basically all we need to know is that Tenshinhan can cook up some scary shit occasionally and leave it at that.

But then again, he did say that Krillin had a awful BP compared to the rest.Zombie wrote:huh? Cell was scratched....

To be fair, he's no more "scratched" than Vegeta and Nappa were after Kuririn's ki attack that took out most of the Saibaimen, and the characters outright say that attack didn't hurt them at all. They were just scuffed, really.Zombie wrote:huh? Cell was scratched...

Re: Strength of the humans in Buu Saga?
By the Android Saga, I do not believe Krilin to be stronger than Tien. Certainly not in Buu Saga. I know Krillin now has android #18 as his wife... LOL but that does not tell how they both train. Krillin probably slacks off training almost as much as Yamcha does. Let's put this all into perspective here.Krillin is also confirmed to be stronger than Tenshinhan multiple times....
