If you could change the course/result of a fight...

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Can Freeza do directly from form to final form? I mean third to fourth isn't an actual body change like the other transformation, his third form literally just cracks, there's an explosion, and boom, final form.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Then that probably contradicts my point. hahaha. Yes if his transformations are in seconds.. then Goku even at x10 kaioken won't be a match.

Kaio-ken x20 Goku would be at 1.8 million. A Super Saiyan Goku that didn't get the haxxed zenkai from the Ginyu fight would be at 4.5 million, so... Freeza could beat him at 5%. If he can only use kaio-ken x10, Goku would be weaker than Piccolo and therefore would be beaten with only moderate difficulty (because skill and all that) by even Freeza's second form.

You know, Goku makes a lot of questionable decisions, but coincidentally they always turn out to be the right choices.

Well theres arguments saying Goku wasn't able to use x20 kaioken immediately on Namek. But I don't know, he didn't have that opportunity to show any of his power so none of us can really be certain.

I would...but then my Gohan fanboyism would show too much. As if it already isn't apparent now!

I don't know what I want...Gohan winning or the ending we already got. Both are pretty cool, though with their flaws. :?

If there is one fight I could change, it would most definitely be Vegetto vs. Gohan Boo. That fight was so one-sided that it was pitiful to watch. Instead of having Vegetto leagues above Gohan Boo, I would have this fight similar to Goku vs Cell, where Gohan Boo would be a step or two ahead Vegetto. After wearing Vegetto down, Gohan Boo would try to absorb Vegetto, and the rest of the events would play out the same. I don't care if Goku and Vegeta are rivals, the Potara fusion should not have made Vegetto so freaking over-powered.

Nah, I like Vegetto being the strongest character in the series. Even if it's not one sided, I still like him being the strongest.

Sometimes the extremely one-sided fights are the most entertaining to watch. At least when the bad guy is the one receiving the beatdown.

Yeah for me it would have to be Gohan SSJ2 breaking free of Kibito's hold. It REALLY bothered me that it was those two who took his power... If Gohan completely wrecked Spopovich and friend and then proceeded to punch Kibito once with him forfeiting that would be terrific. Dabura could have been teleported by Babidi as Gohan leaves the ring. Gohan gets shanked and then Dabura gets teleported back.

The Trunks/Cell fight could have been handled better. Having him just give up for a silly reason wasn't worth all that build up.

I know all of these and vegeta's battle style and..... pride....and that's why I like vegeta most of every other character in DB world!!!! 8)

I just wanted a different result of that battle coz I didn't liked that vegeta lost against Perfect Cell, since I already know the result of that battle. :(

It's the opposite for me. The best kind of fights IMO are the ones where the opponents are equally matched.

Let's see, a fight with a different result. I guess I would have liked to see Piccolo at least attempt to fight the Kaioshin, even if it meant getting beaten.
Maybe Vegeta not dying after blowing Buu up and having to face everyone up on the Lookout.

Hmm... that's a pretty interesting idea, I would have never thought anyone would prefer it this way. Of course, for this to work Vegetto would have to be a Super Saiyan 3, otherwise there'd be the question of "Why don't you just transform?". I like the idea.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I agree that more equal pairings make for the most interesting fights, but sometimes you just want to see evil get its comeupance and get punched in its stupid evil face. Case in point, the Freeza fight. Yes, there are many parts of that entire battle where it's not one sided but once Goku really starts upstaging Freeza, it's sweet vengeance against such an evil character. I absolutely love when Goku tells Freeza off as he bitch slaps him around.

I wouldn't want a different result at all. Vegeta killing Cell is just off. Ssj2 Gohan is awesome and we wouldn't see him if Vegeta killed Cell.

It would also would be anti-climatic if Cell reached his perfect state and lost to Vegeta anyways. Vegeta's pride costing him a battle has been a trait in Dragon Ball since the beginning.

Freeza's lucky Goku didn't use his pimp hand otherwise he'd be seriously in for it.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I wish the fights against Broly had been less one sided. Broly's beef was with Goku, and so I would've liked it if it was a titanic one on one fight between the two. Goku wins in the end but the comeupance is lacking.
