God bless Kei's memory.

Kei17 is Dustin Hoffman. It's the only explanation.

Next thing we know it's one word per page.

Woah Kei is the best Thank you will have new information or is it going to be already everything we know basically.

"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause troubles without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood… and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others: They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they’ve never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them… because in truth, I am that monster."

Anyway 9 pages single spaced is a long read. I shall enjoy it (for the most part).

This reminds me of the golden era of dbz fandom.. everyone crowding around planetnamek.com to read the summaries of the manga volumes and read 3rd (or sometimes 4th) hand spoilers of the sagas yet to come... which in the US all we had was the defeat of Recoome and nothing else.. or spending all night downloading the subbed episodes in crappy Real Media format on a few FTP's or #DBZ on EFnet.. so we could watch them
That's how I fell in love with the Japanese Freeza voice.. and it'll forever be the one true Freeza to me.

This is so much like that. XD
*Recalls doing similar stuff for the Buu arc manga and for GT as neither had come out in the U.S. at that time and YouTube was still a few years away*.

TheMightyOzaru wrote:Umm yeah I would say Goten and Trunks are stronger than the ladder if someone who beat Goku's God from said they would pose a considerable threat in the near future... they never did though so they aren't. Either way, if they have the potential to surpass them in the near future, they will be stronger, if they already aren't, so they are stronger generally speaking.
I don't say that they won't get stronger than Gohan in the future, what I'm saying is that currently, they are not stronger than Gohan for sure.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yea in a way I sorta miss the old AnimeLabs fansubs.. I know the translations were horrible but you couldn't read them half the time anyway, because the videos were Real Media files ultra compressed to utter crappy quality.. it actually lent a lot to the imagination too when you couldn't clearly see what was happening during fights and stuff. I always thought the battles were so epic just because sometimes you couldn't tell.. and when Gohan went SSj2 for the first time, some VCR message started flashing on the screen, and my young mind thought it was because the scene was so titanic and epicly loud, that the explosion caused by his transformation had made the message appear on the guy's VCR

Heath @Hujio Man, this detailed #BoG summary is getting pretty long, but it's gonna be totally worth it. I hope everyone is ready!
Fuck yeah, I'm ready!

I can tolerate Vegeta's feat with Birusu because I consider it less of a rage boost and more of a heroic resolve moment, which can elicit the surpassing of one's natural limits and make impossible feats possible.

I think I'm gonna pass on reading the summary. I mean....just by keeping up with the thread I already know the general plot of the movie. I'll wait to see the actual film for the juicy details, otherwise it'd just take all of the fun out of it!

For me it'll depend on how much time passes between reading the summary and getting to see the movie. Personal past experience shows the longer the distance between me listening to (or in this case reading) an in-depth summary, the more I'll still be able to enjoy seeing the movie afterwards. >_>
But BOG is such a special case, I don't know if I can even classify it with those.

It actually took about four pages to describe only the first 30 or so minutes.
