I already upgraded from the DBZ cropped season sets to the Dragon Boxes and will only buy more if the Blu-ray sets were completed. I will only buy Dragon Ball and GT again if they receive the Dragon Box treatment as I already have their respective season sets. Otherwise, I've completed my collection and future re-releases are ideal for people who haven't picked up the series.Aoi wrote: I'm wondering, are you fans going to be more selective now and buy just ONE English release to own? How many English releases will you own before you stop?

I haven't bought anything. All the Funi releases have been sub par in my honest opinion. I don't even like the english dub that much. I WOULD buy the dragon boxes, but you know.....I dont have 700+ dollars to spare on DVD's.
How do you get into the Ginyu Force? With a letter of RECOOMEndation!

Now I'm waiting for some good release of:
- Dragon Ball series and movies.
- Dragon Ball Z series, specials and movies.
Dragon Ball can look and sound much better than it's presented on available releases.

Exactly the same, including the DB/Z movie single releases all uncut from back in the day by funi which includes the Ocean dub of the first 3 DBZ movies from Pioneer, and the 2 TV specials, that is all. Ill be waiting for the DB Boxes of DB, DBGT, and the movies, and a BOG Bluray as well before I bite again.dbboxkaifan wrote:Dragon Ball Home Releases I have:

I have the Dragon Boxes for Z, and for me, that's perfect. Don't need to buy another release with those on my shelf (especially considering how many damn releases I bought before those came out...sigh...). For Dragon Ball and GT, I have the original singles (saga 2-disc sets for DB), and for DB at least, I would very much like to upgrade those to something better quality in the future. If there is a DB Dragon Box from Funi, I will happily purchase it, but like Z, that will be everything I need. The Dragon Boxes have everything I could possibly want for the series.
That being said, if Toei does a full HD remaster of the series (a Blu-Ray Dragon Box, if you will) and Funi puts that out over here, I would probably upgrade to that. But I am in no way clamoring for it. The Dragon Boxes on DVD are an effectively perfect presentation of the episodes, we get Steve's excellent subtitles over here, and the packaging is very nice. I love high-definition, but I don't need it for Dragon Ball at the moment.

I have the Dragon Boxes and Kai for Z, the Madman 'Collection' sets for Dragonball and while flawed and picture isn't the best, I'm fine with them and have the green bricks for GT. I also hopefully will have all the VizBig after today. I think I'm good.
A big MAYBE for the Dragon Ball Dragon Boxes though...

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.
