According to Vegeta, the "Original" Super Saiyan was too primitive to control his own power and eventually sucumbed to its intensity, which inevitably destroyed him. How he was destroyed is still in debate, did the planet he was on incinerate him? Did his actual power explode inwards or was he overwhelmed by opposing forces? The depictions of this legendary warrior in Episode 66 was seen what looks like a "golden" Oozaru silhouette, causing havoc on a planet and destroying people. Now, in the Battle of Gods movie, Shenlong stated that a Super Saiyan God once appeared on Planet Vegeta and fought "Evil" Saiyans but was unsuccessful when the forms time limit ran out, he too was depicted as a raging Oozaru.
Could this be one of the same people? They were both destroyed in some state of a "form" which inevitably lead to their demise. The Original Super Saiyan sucumbed to the intensity of the form, whilst the Super Saiyan God sucumbed to the forms time limit. Are they hinting at something here? It's also good to note that (whilst filler IIRC), there was a scene in Pendulum Room Peril (EP.17) were the Z Fighters were walking through a battle-scarred Planet Vegeta with dead scattered bodies which looked like an enourmous civil war had taken place between Saiyans - Which is some food for thought considering this new concept of Evil Saiyans VS. Good Saiyans, would like to hear your thoughts on this too...

That's what the Funi dub made up. None of that is in the original.ドラゴ wrote:According to Vegeta, the "Original" Super Saiyan was too primitive to control his own power and eventually sucumbed to its intensity, which inevitably destroyed him.
Anyway, the idea in BoG is that because the evil Saiyans won, Super Saiyan God was erased from history, and that's why today nobody has ever heard of it, not even Vegeta.

Oh right. Gotcha, but none of that adds up to the original fable in the manga which IIRC suggests that a Saiyan long ago transformed into a Super Saiyan.Herms wrote:That's what the Funi dub made up. Vegeta's unawareness of the Super Saiyan God is bizarre since Shenlong already stated that he once appeared on Planet "Vegeta"? Surely it should be Planet Plant or Planet Saiya since the name implies King Vegeta took his royalty over the planet before the Super Saiyan God appeared no?
So in essence, you're saying there IS infact another "Legend" to the one told about in BoG? What did the original statement say about the Original Super Saiayan?
