How come Vegeta is stable in his Oozaru form?

Bebi Vegeta was initially unable to control the Oozaru form, and was only able to come under control awhile after. Vegeta, when Bulma triggered his transformation, took quite awhile before he was able to gain control of the form as well.

Ah okay, I realize GT is part of Toriyama's original story, but I am thinking I prefer the theory that Saiyans go through some way of training to master their Oozaru status as opposed to adult Saiyans have control due to a more developed body.

I'm quite sure GT Vegeta was just fooling around when he turned Oozaru. Also, in this case it's relevant to say, it's GT.

Could it have something to do with having the tail as a weakness? We never saw Goku turn into an Oozaru when he got rid of the weakness and both Nappa and Vegeta didn't have it as well. Certainly, there's nothing that contradicts it.

I don't know if this is a Vizism, but when Gohan loses his shit, Kuririn wonders aloud "Do they actually lose their reason, or just regain their Saiyan savagery?" I take this to mean that Gohan and Goku are actually the unusual ones, and that Saiyans who are fully in touch with their Saiyan side doesn't act any different in their Oozaru form.
