Well, fans sent letters (and bitched and moaned on the Internet) when the orange bricks came out and FUNi hasn't cropped a Dragon Ball release since. And we never would have gotten the Dragon Boxes in the first place if it weren't for the vocal minority of fans who wanted them such as ourselves. And now all we need from them is to re-print a completed release, rather than to license the Dragon Box masters for the first time.TheGreatness25 wrote:Unfortunately, I really don't think that would do anything. I can see them replying with something like, "Sorry, we are focused on our Digitally Remastered Season 1-9 line at the moment. Thank you for your support and stay tuned!" I honestly can picture that being the response almost word for word. After everything with the Ultimate Uncut DVDs? They didn't react to that. Also, how many times did someone (myself included) try to get them to do a Perfect Cell Saga boxed release. Never happened. They don't respond to that. What they MAY do is tell you that there's another release coming, which will be either blu-ray or something else entirely.
You're probably right. There isn't a great chance FUNi will actually oblige us, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do what you can if there's a possibility they will. I understand why someone who's got all the sets already might not care. But if you're one of those suckers who didn't buy the boxes when they first came out and now you sorely want them, then sending a letter in the mail will certainly serve your interests and it takes hardly any time or effort.
Guess I can't make anyone do anything, just thought I'd try to get the word out. There are plenty of threads on here whining about the astronomically high-priced D-Boxes, and some are still desperately hoping their Amazon.ca orders will come through, but no one's really doing anything about it. We could send them a hundred letters and they might not do anything, but it doesn't hurt to try.
