Does Kai feel like it's longer than it is?
So, I was watching Kai, and I realized that everytime I watch it, I feel like an hour has passed when it's only been like 10 minutes. I'm entertained by Kai, but I can't help but feel that this might be because I know that Z length. Like, how long it takes in Z. But, I'm not bored watching Kai. I'm not sure how to explain it. Does anyone else feel like this?

No, I feel the opposite. I feel like time flies by, and like more happens in a given episode.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

The replacement music feels like it's just dragging the episodes for far way too long when they're straight to the point and fun to watch.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Kai feels fast to me. Some parts of the Cell arc feel like they're not much faster than Z, but the rest of it just seems like lightning compared to what I'm used to.

Interesting thing with the Cell arc is that they kept a hefty amount of filler from the original anime.Fizzer wrote:Kai feels fast to me. Some parts of the Cell arc feel like they're not much faster than Z, but the rest of it just seems like lightning compared to what I'm used to.

Probably because they were aiming for about a hundred episodes and they realised they'd undershot.DBZAOTA482 wrote:Interesting thing with the Cell arc is that they kept a hefty amount of filler from the original anime.Fizzer wrote:Kai feels fast to me. Yeah, it might be that or they think Cell arc fillers suck less than Saiyan and Freeza arc's fillersFizzer wrote:Probably because they were aiming for about a hundred episodes and they realised they'd undershot.DBZAOTA482 wrote:Interesting thing with the Cell arc is that they kept a hefty amount of filler from the original anime.Fizzer wrote:Kai feels fast to me. I find I can marathon Kai more than Z and still be enjoying it. Usually with parts of Z I can only watch 3-4 episodes a day...
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Re: Does Kai feel like it's longer than it is?
Kai is anything but long. I can sit through more episodes of this than actual Z.
Re: Does Kai feel like it's longer than it is?
Not really. I felt like the Freeza vs. Goku fight was a little too long in Kai. Nothing compared to Z's unbelievable length but it did drag slightly. The only other instance of me getting slightly annoyed by it was during some fights in the Android saga. However, I think that may have just been me getting impatient for Cell.

No. But I feel like it could stand to trim the fat a little more. Excess shots could been clipped out to make scenes go a little more faster. Watch Avatar/Korra made me see how one could fit a lot of story in just 22 minutes if you don't beat around the bush and find the balance between "dragging" and "rushing."

Trimming Kai isn't like editting Avatar.

It was always long even in the manga IMO.Not really. I felt like the Freeza vs. Goku fight was a little too long in Kai. Nothing compared to Z's unbelievable length but it did drag slightly.
