Can't really use VGChartz or Wikipedia as a form of source to prove that Tenkaichi 3 was the highest selling game of the Dragon Ball franchise. It's more likely that it was Budokai 3 due to being a traditional 2D fighter which everyone loved and still do to this day.

I still play Infinite World (Dimps), Burst Limit (Dimps) and Naruto's Broken Bond (UbiSoft Montreal) which feels a bit like the Budokai games. Raging Blast 2 but not as often.

In other words, you dislike it, so it can't possibly have been successful unlike the game you adore.

It's not that I dislike, the game just needs a lot of improvement.

Yes, that's why I said 'apparently'.

I don't really play many DB games anymore but if I do it's Infinite World or the Legacy of Gokus. Maybe occasionally BT3.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

To answer the question in the title:

We want to re-experience those games in a higher quality, with better sound, with trophies/achievements, and play them on a proper online mode.

Part of the question is, what about Budokai 3 merited its HD version, ignoring that Namdai needed something to pad out the year? That it hasn't had a worthy HD successor? You could argue that about the Tenkaichi games as well, given that it seems taken for granted almost across the internet that the Raging Blast games are inferior. You could argue Budokai nostalgia, but then you ignore the crowd that deems Sparking superior by virtue of replicating the series, some of which hold memories of Budokai as well, that are responsible in part for spreading the opinion that Raging Blast is weaker. If all of Spike's games barring Tenkaichi 1 are roughly the same, what is that reaction if not under-informed nostalgia?

So if quality is not the issue, and nostalgia doesn't lean wholly to Budokai, why not?

That. You know what excited me most about the Budokai Collection? Seeing Budokai 1 in stable 720p.

(Fact that HD Collections should be running in 1080p because they aren't being emulated and thus shouldn't be using up more system resources aside)

And to have on the 360...
Now just give Kingdom Hearts 2 a remake, then I can finally toss the old PS2.

If they release a "Tenkaichi HD Collection", I'd buy it. I freely admit to being a shameless consumer whore.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

'Fraid you'll have to shell out for a PS3 and the inevitable 2.5 Remix for that one

Online, that's why people want a BT3 HD at least. I would honestly love a Tenkaichi HD Collection. They gotta be fair and give the Tenkaichi fans something. Honestly people have been jumping up and down and saying all we need is BT3 with better graphics so I'm surprised they haven't jumped on it yet.

Tenkaichi 3 overall is the best of the Tenkaichi series so getting an HD version would be okay I guess.

Even though Tenkaichi 3 HD already exist if played on PC on PCSX2 with a powerful computer.

What are we suppose to use then? Tenkaichi 3 seems like it would sale more because it was on two systems and was more fan service.

We need a Budokai Tenkaichi 3 HD on the Wii U, because the original Wii had online play that did not work well at all. Matches were completely laggy, frame rate was awful... They owe it to the fans to release a proper online multiplayer game. Or a release of Raging Blast 2/3 would be nice.
