I liked her hair before but I accepted the new one as being more in line with her character. The whole scene was hilarious.

No. The scene is anything but.
I like both hairstyles but I'd say her initial hairstyle looks slightly better on her. Though, the haircut does fit her character more as
soulnova stated. I think her Battle of Gods haircut is a good compromise. It's the best of both worlds.

Goku definitely doesn't think she's cuter with short hair though. He had a hard time telling if she was a girl or not and he's oughta know the differences by that point.
Anyways, I thought it was odd watching it in the anime because he's seen her fight in ponytails without problems. It works fine in the manga though.

Yeah, and I like Videl's sleeveless version of the 25th Budokai outfit she wears in that eyecatch. Why couldn't Gohan ask he to ditch the sleeves instead of the pigtails? xD
