Am I the only one who finds this a bit phoney (yeah, pun intended)?

Stopped reading at "canonized story." There's no way this is real or that a major film studio representative would speak like that.omegalucas wrote:http://otakumode.com/news/51977396d0969 ... Gods-rdquo

I don't think it suggests that Saiyans can breathe in space. The Monkey King wrote:As for Goku/saiyans in space there was Goku and Vegeta causing supernovas in DBO

They invade other planets with spaceships, and planets without a breathable atmosphere would almost certainly not have indigenous sentient beings that needed to be killed off before selling the planet. Therefore, it only makes sense for Saiyans to invade planets in which they can breathe.MDSTSSJ wrote:The Saiyans are a warrior race that travels to the entire Universe to invade Planets and sell them. It is impossible that all the Planets have atmosphere and oxygen to breathe. So I think that Saiyans through many many years somehow developed how to breathe in Space or in environments that have no atmosphere.
We've seen Goku needing to breathe in multiple occasions, like, for example, when he stays too long inside water while diving. In space there is no gas for him to breathe. Freeza most likely knows that Saiyans need to breathe. The conclusion seems pretty straightforward to me. All those other things could also be a problem for Goku, but not as immediately as being unable to breathe.JeffJarrett wrote:Freeza said Goku wouldn't survive in space, not that he's unnable to breath in space.
He could have died because of the radiations, asteroids, being attracted to stars, etc.
Yet it's getting released as early as August in countries such as Mexico, Peru etc.Hellspawn28 wrote:No way they can have this movie out by this July or August. If he can't breath underwater then how he can breath in space? That part never made any sense to me.JeffJarrett wrote: not that he's unnable to breath in space.

Regarding the theatrical release, is expected to become effective in countries with the sublicense of Diamond Films in August or September of 2013 (including Mexico, where a chain was publishing its premiere in 2014). In the case of a possible delay in production would not until launch October of this year.
It's Toriyama himself who said maybe he can breath in space:Hellspawn28 wrote:If he can't breath underwater then how he can breath in space? That part never made any sense to me.
It seems O2 exists in space in Toriyama's universe (or, at least, in Toriyama's mind).Akira Toriyama wrote:To think that they’d go all the way into the stratosphere……but thinking about it, they’re both aliens, after all. Maybe they can just barely breathe.
