"Budokai 4" Mini-Game Ideas
Having seen the mini games of Mk deception, I came to think that it would be cool to have some parody mini games on Budokai 4 (if it will ever be released on the PS3). Here are some mini-games I think they would be cool to have. Feel free to comment on them, and add your own.
"SERVED BY A TYRANT" MODE (MINI GAME--PARODY)
We see a short interactive (like those in Budokai 1, bless its soul), with King Yamma telling Freeza that one of the punishments he must endure in Hell is to serve booze to all dead drunks. Freeza bitches a bit about it, then goes to work.
The mode plays like the classic acade called "Tapper". I don't know if you remember it. If you don't, go here:
http://www.ggdb.com/Picture.aspx?c=Coin ... 3027&p=212
If you manage to serve the drunks for more than 2 minutes, you get one rare capsule as a prize. And another one for one minute therafter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"IS THAT OKAY?" MODE (MINI GAME--PARODY / SERIOUS)
In this mode, you pick 5 characters, and you try to make poses just like the Ginew Force used to. I don't know what's the best way to pull this off (a completely new engine that allows you to record stances; a karaoke system; etc). Anyways, once you are through rehearsing, you do the final poses, and the camera turns to a table where the Ginew Force sits. Depending on your performance (which should be rated on synchronization, originality and style), they do the following:
1) EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
The Ginew Force applauds and cheers, fair explosions all over the screen, and in the end, Ginew gives you a trophy and says: "Excellent work guys. Would you care to join the Ginew Force?" You are awarded 3 very rare capsules.
2) GOOD PERFORMANCE:
The Ginew Force is pleased, say how much they enjoyed the poses, and one or two make some sugestions. You get one rare capsule.
3) MEDIOCRE PERFORMANCE
The Ginew Force sits still, without expression, and after two seconds, they all turn their heads to the right and say in unison: "next!" (you are taken to the character select screen, and get one common capsule)
4) LOUSY PERFORMANCE
When the camera goes to the Ginew Force, Ginew reads a newspaper, Gurudo is snoring, Baata shoots himself and dies, Jiisu is OMG, and Reccoome laughs mockingly. You don't earn a thing.
5) EXTREMELY LOUSY PERFORMANCE
The Ginew force roars and swears (lot of beeps are heard), until Ginew says to his men: "These guys are an insult to the posing industry! Let's get'em boys!" The game then switches to a 5 against 5 elimination match. Your team against the Ginew Force. If you win, you earn 3 uncommon capsules. If you lose, you are taken to the main menu.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"PROTECT THE CITY!!" (MINI GAME / SERIOUS)
In this mini-game, the camera is switched a la Sim City (or like the RISK stages of Budokai 2), viewing a large city of the DBZ anime. You get 10 DBZ fighters, which you choose where to place, and the purpose is to protect the city against DBZ villains who appear out of nowhere (at irregular periods of time), and begin thrashing the buildings of the city. Once a villain appears, you can either a) send a Z Fighter to go there and fight him, b) do nothing, c) send the police/army/militia to stall him for 1-2 turns (in order for the Z Fighter to reach him before he does a lot of damage), d) use the dragon balls to either convert him into a Z Fighter or destroy him (one shot only). There is a limited number of soliders as well, and luck plays a major factor in this mode (if the villains happen to appear away from a Z Fighter you are bound to have casualties). Once a Z Fighter approaches the villain, you get to choose whether the CPU will decide randomly the outcome, or if you will control the Z Fighter.
After a fixed amount of time, depending on the city's condition, you get various capsules as prizes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll add some more if I come up with any ideas. Go ahead! Post your thoughts true believers!

I'll tell you this: You've got a seriously overactive imagination!ngnikolaos wrote: "IS THAT OKAY?" MODE (MINI GAME--PARODY / SERIOUS)

I can't think of any parody mini- games, but the obvious ones are: Catching Bubbles, trying knocking Gregory on the head, log chopping (in early Dragonball), and fish catching.
Wait! I have some more: A "How light can you hit Hercule?" mode, where you have restrain your strength by filling up a bar (by rapidly pressing the X button). If you can't bring it to the top, you'll smash him in the face really hard (like Trunks

Ah, another one! You play as Goku in this mode, and you have to wash the dishes without breaking them! Every time you break one, Chi- Chi slaps you, and your health decreases. This mode contains the same engine as the Hercule one.

Atari needs to put those two into a new game.
"Out eat a Saiyan"
Choose a character, any character. Your character will be put on a table next to any Saiyan, and must eat as much food as possible. This is done by hammering the X button as much as possible. Every time you hit the button a bar fills up. When one far is filled, an empty dish appears next to your character, the bar empties and is made slightly bigger. Repeate. If you slack off, the bar will slowly empty. If the bar empties the game ends (your character has had enough) and the game decides if you've out eaten a Saiyan. Like in ngnikolaos' game, depending on how well you do depends on the rarity of the capsule and how many you get. The game's difficulty depends on the Saiyan your competing against.

Oh Kirby games had great minigames!Chuquita wrote:I like that. I think I played a mini-game similar to it on a Kirby game somewhere.
Remember the 'Kirby's Adventure' minigame where the King Dedede (the penguin) and Kirby appeared in a boxing ring, and Dedede would throw a stream of eggs and bombs at you? You were to eat as any eggs as possible (by keeping your mouth open with the A button, they all just fly in) whilenot eating the bombs.
I think the exact same thing would be great for the new Budokai.
"Saiyan Boxing" (MINI GAME -- PARODY)
Goku and King Kai appear in a boxing ring, King Kai starts throwing eggs (or rice cakes or something) interspersed with bombs at Goku. By holding the 'action' button you open Goku's mouth, if you eat a bomb the game ends and you get no points. More eggs = more points, more points = better capsule.
Eating all eggs will unlock the ability to play this minigame in 2-player mode, with one player controlling King Kai.
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.

Kirby is God.
Anyway, I loved the mini-games in Deception, and although all of them sound more like Smash Bros./Mario Party/et cetera mini-games as opposed to Deceptions, all of the ideas presented here sound great.

Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!
