Mostly the sentimental/high emotion scenes. The top class voice acting and music really help push those emotional boundaries far more than text on a page.

Highlights include - Vegeta's reaction to Cell attacking Trunks, Vegeta's death on Namek, Vegeta's sacrifice during the Buu arc. (that's a lot of Vegeta).

Ok, I'll definitely agree now. Just watched it again (also for the first time on my Dragon Box- so beautiful). It's much better easily- I love the bits with Vegets's monologues especially.

I really like the Manga but the Anime complements the Manga.

I'm very visual and I need to see movement, hear voices, hear sounds, listen the music background to improve the environment, character performance, etc.

In conclusion, the Manga and the Anime are the perfect combination. Without one or the other, I would feel like something is missing!!

Piccolo sacrificing himself to save Gohan
Vegeta's death on Namek
Goku going SSJ1
Gohan going SSJ2
Vegeta's final flash on Cell
Gohan vs Cell Kamehameha clash

a lot of things honestly, Toei did really an amazing job with the series! except the fillers, which make it unwatcheable for me, i could watch some moments or some episodes, but no way i'll watch it all over again!

Goku going SSJ1
SSJ2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta (even though the fight itself is still not that great)
Gohan going SSJ2
History of Trunks
Pretty much any intimate moment between the canon couples
The final clash between Gohan and Cell
Trunks' execution of Freeza and his father
Trunks' speaking of time travel and his motives
Super Trunks vs. Semi-Perfect Cell
Super Trunks vs. Perfect Cell
Super Vegeta vs. Perfect Cell
Vegeta vs. True Form Freeza

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

The way they handled Krillin's first death in Dragon Ball. Just seeing this scene played out resonated and connected more with me than reading it.

The filler possibly filling in the gaps on how Bulma and Vegata got together (a'la Florence Nightingale), was better than Bulma "just seeing Vegeta sitting there" (IIRC).

I really liked the Anime Version of the Cell Games Finale with everyone joining forces to defeat Perfect Cell (rather than just doing nothing: Manga Version).

I think the anime did a better job of expanding on some relationships, it gave some nice family moments especially between Goku and Chi-Chi. I also think the anime obviously did a better job with the fighting, at last in most cases anyway.

Really? I've always hated that stuff. That and the Saiyaman filler just didn't do anything for me.

Anyway, on topic:

Super Saiyan transformation
Super Saiyan 2 transformation
Most all fight filler

The Saiyaman arc.

Actually, most of the Boo arc, I'm told, although I've never read the manga version and can't confirm.

I can definitely believe that, though, because the music, animation and pacing are largely top-notch in those episodes.

I don't know, it felt to me like they used that one Kikuchi piece for everything in the Buu arc, even if it was a new piece for that arc. It stops being new after the first billion times.

Maybe it's just that I liked the jazzier style he was using for the Boo arc, so I didn't notice the repetition.

I seem to remember it being no more repetitive than other arcs, though. They all recycle the same one to three tracks for action sequences, a character theme or two, etc. I thought the Boo arc at least had a greater range of styles.

I do love the upbeat music for Vegetto and Gotenks, when they fuse.

Been watching a bit of the Boo saga again lately, the animation...especially on Dragon Box is very beautiful. It's also pretty consistent, so that helps.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

They didn't have time to do anything in the manga. They get blasted away by the beam collision, then as they're picking themselves up, Gohan bursts his power and destroys Cell.

Personally, I think it's far superior than "i'm crippled and low on power, but i can somehow hold a continuous gigantic kamehameha for three hours"

You should really watch Kai. I think you'd enjoy it a lot more.

@Rocketman I did insist on the fact of joining forces. It was great to see them all fight together the main villain in the final round.
