From the trailer it seems many of the maps will have a day and night cycle, besides Namek of course.
Now, by the look of it the moon is a crescent when Goku is flying (just after that pretty shot of Goku flying with a lens flare in view).
So imagine if it is randomly set that there are few times the moon is full when it gets dark in a team battle, and thus saiyan characters transform into Oozarus?
This would be amazing.

Note: RB2 was great just stick to that, or if you prefer Tenkaichi 3 then play it on your PS2/Wii, hell if you want Tenkaichi 3 HD then use PCSX2 on a PC with the requirements needed.
This is a bad attitude to have.

Not really, we may have something really good here. Honestly.
This trailer was likely short for a reason, to tease, and then blow your mind when more information is shown.
Tenkaichi/rb is done.

You want to know what's a bad attitude?

These comments were all reactions of Tenkaichi fanboys after Namco Bandai replying "Not scheduled" (there's nothing wrong with the reply, they actually should be grateful to get one).

Couldn't agree more, seems like they just love to complain no matter what it is. If it came true they would still whine about something.

I 100% agree with dboxkaifan. The DBZ games desperately needs to good kick in the butt to get it running again. The 4 vs 4 gameplay is exactly what it needed. I've come to terms to even if the roster is only 60+ or 70 + without transformations, at least we'll have some kickass gameplay to go along with it. I remember I was hooked on Tenkaichi Tag Team on the PSP for hours on end. It was just that fun. And now we are finally making that jump that we needed so badly.

Tenkaichi IS dead! Bring on the future; Bring on Battle of Z!!!

From what we've seen of the gameplay, it's very similar to the Tenkaichi games (sending the opponent away, pursuing them to kick them again, teleporting to kick them once more; the way Ki Blasts are used and fired, the basic combo attack; Heavy Finish, etc.). Nothing new, even the invisible walls are there. This new developer copies what Spike invented for DBZ games.

For those who say the battlefield is bigger, how do they know?! It seems similar to the previous games, we even see Goku and Ginyu occupying the same physical space when near an invisible wall in the trailer.

I guess we can expect a demo of the game because they've been hyping the DBZ 2013 for months now and it's definitely an awesome year for DB trials/demos to return. Not to mention J-Stars Victory (demo too?) is coming out this year too, I think.

The last year we got a DBZ demo was in 2010 that was Raging Blast 2, ever since it has been pretty dead.

One of the main reasons why I've bought games was due to playing their demos otherwise I might've skipped, well, there's also reviews and screens though a demo gives a better idea of what's the full package.

Wait, Saiyan arc Goku without any kanji on his dogi?!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

The logo shows Goku with the Japanese Kanji writing, and also, he could be using the alternative custom as it is available on RB games and such.

To be fair, the logo is Super Saiyan God Goku with his Battle of Gods dogi...

Seriously guys. :eh: If this Kanji on the Dogi thing is the biggest problem from the game, I can easily deal with it; played through the story ENOUGH times. I'm just looking forward to some new gameplay, with some 4v4 action. I think replay value is what counts, even if it isn't the story being replayed. Although I still yearn for a game with the story as fleshed out as those Naruto Storm games. Except that means SO MUCH DIALOGUE.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

The problem is that if they aren't accurate even for the costumes, they probably won't be for the story or gamplay.
And it also let us think that the content will be poor (Krillin without hair for the Buu Saga?!).

How does not having the right dogi affect gameplay? That's art direction versus game mechanics. Not only is this not even a big deal, it's also the start of the reveal. The game isn't finished and there is still a whole lot more to reveal. I'm sure you'll see more costume variants and even if we don't I'd rather have a game that plays well with little costume options over anything Spike has done in the past four years. Not saying this game is the end all be all of Dragonball gaming but we are off to better start then we have been in a long time. Two year development cycle, new team, familiar looking but different gameplay and a harmonized(though not what I expected) art style that blends both the character models and the backgrounds rather than clashing them. Lets not get our panties in a bunch because Krillin is wearing weighted boots instead of black kung-fu shoes while fighting Vegeta...
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

OMG the story is SO F***ed up it's not even funny...
Raditz being alive when Vegeta and Nappa arrive? (How does Goku get strong enough to fight them?)
Piccolo being alive in the fight with Oozaru Vegeta? (Piccolo is killed by Nappa before this fight even f***ing happens...)
Piccolo AND Krillin still alive for the SSj1 Goku and 100% Final Form Frieza fight? (Piccolo and Krillin die to make him go SSj in the first place! WTF!?)

Lets see how many more WTF moments we get before the release LOL

Graphics bad enough to be back in PS2 era with f***ing PS4 right around the corner, horrid story, following the 2 worst games in DBZ history, Multi colored Frieza Soldiers for no f***ing reason...yep. Odds are WAY in favor of this game sucking worse than the galaxy of this sucks camel dick. (or something else pretty bad lol)

They got SSjGod, big whoop. Kinect got f***ing SSj Bardock and it was the worst game of all time! (Yes, worst than E.T. the video game, no joke.) Disgrace to the second best what-if character in history.

Better get a TONxTON of amazing news along with a demo, or its already confirmed...
