On this cover, is the picture of Gohan and Goku anywhere in the manga, like maybe in the title page galleries, 'cause it looks like it came from the manga.

If it is, it's got to be somewhere in volume 33, 34 or 35.

It was probably original art if I had to guess as theres no actual point where we see Gohan's hair like that in the series itself except for JUST after Cell's defeated, and hes all torn up and on the ground exhausted at that point. At that age/hairstyle hes always in super saiyan from due to training for Cell.

He might have looked that way at the end of the Celln saga but he wouldn't have taken a combat stance.

So again, I assume its original art, not manga scanning

edit: amusing thought - Gohan is the anti Vegeta. In that Gohan's hairstyle changes ALL the time. But Vegeta says a Saiyan's hairstyle never changes. Perhaps its the human blood?

Hell, Trunks is actually more anti-Vegeta. He has a different thought pattern, his hair's purple, and it grows nice and long throughout the series.

Also, Teen Gohan's hair is also in that style in Budoukai 2, if that means anything.
