Pretty sure you're out of luck. Weren't we already told that it has ties to the genki gauge? It's been seen in most of the videos. When it activates, everyone on the team glows.Thanos wrote:*Sigh* In generally I have high hopes for this game and defend it, but this worries me. They are not showing us in the trailers because they want to promote the 4 vs 4, but they said that up to 8 players can play, which means that 2 players should be able to play together.

The Japan Expo demo had 4 characters just fighting against Vegeta, even before he went Oozaru. So there is at least evidence to help support the fact that it's not forced to be 4v4 all the time. I think the story may try to do that every opportunity they get to play up the team battle function though.

Should I worry for not having seen Kiwi, Dodoria, and Zarbon? We have already seen all the Saiyan & Freeza arc characters (except Chaozu
), but they haven't appeared yet...

Maybe? I'm thinking they are probably in, just not who they want to promote right now. I could be wrong though.
They could be used for more than the Freeza Arc too. We've been told Bardock is included. Assuming they retell at least part of his rise against Freeza, like Ultimate Blast did, and that they want to milk this team aspect, they'd do well to toss Dodoria, Zarbon and a couple of the soldiers at us to add to the battles.

Well, the fighters in Saiyan & Freeza arc are those:
Saiyan arc:
Freeza arc:
And what about the outfits? Goku, Kuririn, Yamcha, and Tenshinhan have their Cell arc outfits during both Saiyan & Freeza arc of the game, and Gohan has his Saiyan arc outfit in Freeza arc (Gohan & Kuririn don't have their Saiyan armors even in the final battle with Freeza!).
And we won't even get DB, GT, or even a Character Creator...
Saiyan arc:
- Goku (base, Kaio-ken)
- Gohan (base, Oozaru)
- Piccolo
- Kuririn
- Yamcha
- Tenshinhan
- Chaozu
- Vegeta (base, Oozaru)
- Nappa
- Raditz
- Saibaimen
Freeza arc:
- Goku (base, Kaio-ken, Super Saiyan)
- Gohan
- Piccolo
- Kuririn
- Vegeta
- Freeza (1st Form, 2nd Form, 3rd Form, Final Form, Full Power)
- Kiwi
- Dodoria
- Zarbon (base, transformed)
- Gurd
- Reacoom
- Butta
- Jheese
- Ginyu (normal body, Goku's body)
- Freeza Soldiers
And what about the outfits? Goku, Kuririn, Yamcha, and Tenshinhan have their Cell arc outfits during both Saiyan & Freeza arc of the game, and Gohan has his Saiyan arc outfit in Freeza arc (Gohan & Kuririn don't have their Saiyan armors even in the final battle with Freeza!).

Thank you for posting a few however my post was in response to there being more negatives than positives and the ones you mention, only one of which is severe, do not outweigh the positives of this game.

More powerful hardware doesn't just aid in graphics, but also design. I honestly don't think Battle of Z would be possible in its current form on 3DS. That platform struggles with Dragon Ball Heroes, an arcade port using PS2 assets with what, six characters on a flat background with canned inputs? How would you have eight players on 3DS without making the battle arenas incredibly tinydbboxkaifan wrote:They need to stop focusing so much on the graphics, that's not the most important aspect of games, the gameplay is. A game can have absolutely beautiful but if the gameplay's awful or non-existent then it's no good. Let's just take Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast as a great example (very good graphics, in this case, barely any gameplay).Super Saiyan Prime wrote:People in this thread are complaining about the game's visuals as it is. For this to run on 3DS it would have to be a game designed for 3DS and ported to PS3/360/Vita because the 3DS can't handle a downport of this.
This is the year of portable gaming for the 3DS and Vita (Sony) doesn't seem to be making any effort to get the damn system to be a success. Ultimately it'll probably just be PS4's Second Screen, I think.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
