Over 1,000 users?

Did we really have 1,001 users online yesterday? Was there some big event going on that I missed?

I think it might have just been a glitch.

We've checked our user logs, and this was merely a glitch in the database. We're not exactly sure why it happened, but it did. I've gone ahead and reset it back to the previous "most users" record.

So, bumping this old thread, but it concerns a similar issue from only a few weeks later. The current "most users online" thing is 909 from August 23rd of 2013. Not that it's an especially big deal or anything, and it might not even be checkable at this point, but is this a similar glitch as the previous issue, or a legitimate surge in interest on that particular day?
