Cause the other fighter wasn't a dedicated like Goku was.

Goku also had the best training methods as well.

Both. Plus Goku knew when to stop and start training.

Goku was born with a power level of 2. I don't think birth has anything to do with it.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

Goku was born with 2. Vegeta was born with a higher Power level. Yet Goku > Vegeta. Birth got NOTHING to do it

So birth power level and age don't even matter?

I don't want Goku to change, I like him the way that he is. He doesn't need some overwritten JRPG/Stupid anime that the main character existential crisis that completely changes his character. IF you want DBZ to be another anime, watch another anime - we like Goku because he is the archetypal hero. He's the most honest, fair and the strongest character in the show - he is what all other characters strive to be, and I like that.

Because while not particularly bright, he had a heart of gold which made him insanely likable.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

For once I agree with you lol. Goku is one of the few anime MAIN characters who didn't have a over use backstory of being bullied, abused, isolated, or a loved one died. Goku was always a fighter and didn't change MUCH. If this was a different anime Goku would have been abused by Gohan, bullied by others, isolated by the people so he lived in the words, or someone he cared about died. Nope. Not Goku. Goku was a cheerful fella.

Have you met everyone is the world? I think not. There are many people who are even MORE happy go lucky than Goku. Tyniesha Day is always happy(Unless she's on her...cycle. Which should't count.) even more so than Goku.

What's you deal? Seems like you're bashing Goku for not being a family man.

Why? Goku's happy go lucky personality is what we love about him. He gets his tail cut off and after a short panic moment he just says whatever like losing it isn't that big a deal.

Because goku gets everything first I know he is the main character but come on. Some cartoons out there give all there hero's helpful and important jobs. But not Goku just give him all the transformation's and special training.

Goku got everything? Goku got all the special training?

Goku didn't get Mystic or the Ritual(Special training)
Goku didn't get to fuse.
Goku didn't become Kami(His choice) meaning the job was kept to The unnamed Namek

Goku only got special training cause he was DEDICATED. Yamcha and Krillin both said they wasn't going to train as HARD as Goku because they could't keep up. Hell by the end of Cell Arc. Everyone stopped training. Goku is a dedicated fighter. He was handed NOTHING. He has busted his ass for EVERYTHING he got. All the blood, sweat, and even tears. Yes he might get favoritism cause he's the main character. But damn Goku deserves everything he got. What so Goku ain't suppose to get stronger now? Goku never got all the transformations. When he got SSJ by the next arc there was SSJ all over the place. Gohan had SSJ2. Gotenks had SSJ3. You know what? Goku worked for EVERYTHING he had. Nothing came easy to him. He worked in 300G. He worked with weights. He worked with old school, new school, and even mixture styles. Not to sound like a Goku fanboy(As I'm a Goten fanboy) but he's the best. When giving speeches, fighting , and even at LOVING. No one can touch. An..and no matter how much he proves it. He get bashed because he the main character or he's not father of the year.
