Most Overrated Characters

I find fan's obsession with Gohan in the Buu arc very strange. I guess I understand it, they're clinging onto the small things that make him near the level of 'cool' he was at the end of the Cell arc but I just don't see it.

Really. Most people hate Boo arc Gohan. I rarely see a fan obsession over Boo arc Gohan. Most people complain about Boo arc Gohan not being like SSJ2 Kid Gohan or F. Gohan. I like him as he actually has more of a personality then the other Gohan's and he has an actual life besides fighting.

Love how people just ignore what Gohan was in the arc. Remember the whole refusing to fight thing? I guess that was omitted by the fans. How about ALMOST refusing to do a Kamehameha against Cell. Least Teen Gohan had balls to fight even though he lost power.

Hey now, he had hardly any support and everyone was just damning themselves over the situation. Vegeta even apologized for him getting his arm busted.

I'm pretty sure people don't like Mystic Gohan simply because he was used in a terrible way. He didn't end up being the game-breaker that people wanted him to be. True, he took on a more confident persona, but ultimately it didn't amount to much in the span of the story.

Yeah I was really pissed about how pointless that turned out to be. All that hidden power build up we have had since Gohan's beginning turned to shit real quick.

On the flip side, I think people love SSJ2 Gohan because he was probably the only stone-cold killer that fought for the good side. He was also quite possibly the biggest power disparity from hero to villain in the entire series (except Vegetto).

Umm Goku's objectively a great character. I don't even know how you call yourself a Dragon Ball fan when you say Goku has a poor character .

You don't even know what that word means, do you?

Objective means that it has no personal feelings or biases; basically a straight up fact. Saying "this character is a good character" can never be objective because different people have different definitions of what a "good" character is, so your opinion will always factor in.

I don't get how you find Kid Trunks overrated, since he doesn't have many fans. Hell, I'd argue he's underrated if anything.

Well, I find Kid Trunks underrated in the sense that people complain he's not like his Adult counterpart, when that actually makes sense due to Kid Trunks growing up in more peaceful times.

Future Trunks kill Freeza and King Cold (instantly migrated by the fact that he admits Goku could have easily done that), loses to Goku, loses to Androids, loses to Cell and looks like an idiot, ties with a Cell Jr, dies, then beats the villain in his own timeline (although Imperfect Cell & Androids are basically a joke at that point). So yeah, got a point there.

Both Goten and Trunks are almost useless in the sense that neither of them goes through any real struggle, and their only truly interesting moment is when Vegeta knocks them both out before blowing himself up.

Yeah, they don't really develop much and cannot really hold the story. Which is why I'm glad they were eventually phased out.

Tienshinhan, definitely. I see him praised by some people in such a creepy way. Some having ONLY Tienshinhan artworks in their gallery or whatnot.
His role was only for one season in DB and after that he was basically just a silly side character. His part in CG was unnecessary IMO and even Krillin could've done something to hold off Cell.
