Everything would be better if people shouted their own sound effects.

Indeed.

18 cheated. You aren't suppose to hit a gag character that hard.
And here we have the real reason why the jokey characters seem "indestructible" in fights against stronger but non-jokey characters if you take everything at face value. The author usually just makes everyone else hold back on them because... they're not a real threat anyway, so way go so hard on them? Plus it'd just be messed up to see such a goofy character randomly get murdered out of nowhere. (see also: Mr. Satan vs. Cell's backhand.)

For those who are so convinced Arale could/should win... I guess there is the fact that she's only trying to "play wrestling" rather than really fighting, so if #18 stomps her you could assume that it would've been closer if Arale was fighting seriously. If she even knows how to fight seriously... XD

...So much for awesomeness. I was so sure that Arale's gag abilities would give her an edge. I can't be the only one who expected something similar to Looney Tunes to happen.

Yeah otherwise why even include her. I bet she'll be fine.

Huh, didn't think of that either. I would also accept this as an ending to the fight, but I'm still hoping we get at least a little more than this.

It's actually too bad that there's no out-of-bounds rule per say, because I could totally see Arale discovering poop and leaving the ring to play with it. ...Actually, I could also see her having some with her just because - the goofy, has eyes, can talk, Dr. Slump kinda poop-on-a-stick - and freaking #18 out with that.

Technically Arale should be dead from that single attack...
This is simply a joke chapter. Nothing special.
(Unless #18's body is getting weaker like Android Yamcha mentioned earlier.)

I'd say Arale has more chance of surviving such a blow than Mr. Satan does from, say, getting backhanded by Perfect Cell and sent flying into a mountain.

...Oh wait...

You're right though, it is a gag. But that's exactly what does make it special to some of us who love this kinda stuff.

Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Vegetto vs Arale should of happened. Maybe Zen Boo should try absorbing her.

She really shouldn't be here. She is ridiculously op, more so than most gag characters. Z isn't even close to being this bad.

So far Arale has just demonstrated power around Freeza's first form. C-18 should be able to win going off Arale's current feats. She may be a gag character, but Freeza still makes her look like nothing.

Did... did Arale just physically crack the sun? Not that power that can effect the sun is unheard of to DBZ characters, but to someone like 18? Whoa boy...

This must be DBU Arale. That one should be weaker than King Piccolo.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

When did Freeza split a planet in two with a punch on the ground? Or when did Freeza throw a rock to a moon & destroy it? Or when did Freeza run beyond the speed of light? Or when did Freeza caused a planet sandwich just by hitting a planet? Or when did Freeza catch a moon & pushed it away? Or when did Freeza punched someone, sending him far, far away from the planet? I can keep going on if you want...

Arale will probably lose by doing something stupid like accidentally saying she gives up. Arale is too op for this tournament. 18 doesn't stand a chance in a fight.

Is this Dr.S Arale? Or DB DRS Crossover Arale? Plus can Boo eat Robots?
