That kind of thing I'm not sure about outside DB movies 2 & 3. It'd be like redubbing early Looney Tunes to be more withing the characters' later personas. Or like redoing this scene. Mr. Welker's still around, so it's possible, but doesn't really need to be redone.

Eh, I don't know if it's the same thing. The older Looney Toons didn't have writing that didn't contradict the source material since it is the source material. The dubs of these movies could only benefit from FUNimation's experience now or could completely redo the trainwreck of let's something something like The Bardock Special.

Movie 8 is.

Really? Because last time I checked there were still lines like "the galaxy has been shattered" and "getting stronger". And the voice actingg seemed on par with what we got with other DB material released circa 2002-5.

They should do a video on the anniversary where they burn the old dub to oblivion, especially season 3.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Announce a limited box set with a brand new dub.

Isn't that the prime definition of a nerd?

2016: The year Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is finally released in North America.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Ocean dub of Kai would be nice to have for an anniversary.... though I'de personally prefer not to wait any longer than 2014 for that to arrive.

A dubbed theatrical release of BoG would be nice too, new cast or old. I've yet to see the film myself and am in no rush to so it would be new for me.

Don't forget FUNimation's founding in 1994.

As far as I understand it, I thought the series would expire in 2015 and have a possibility of a renewal? Sounds to me I'll be enjoying the JPN BoG till the dubbed one is released.

Yeah pretty much. But for some reason, people consider that to be "bad."
