I would love to see a "Create your own Character" mode, but not like a generic crappy one, I mean a real in depth one that too few games have.
There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

I always thought that it'd be better if there was less emphasis on using the map to track down your enemies; it takes the fun out of "hide and seek".
It would be sooooo cool if you could launch an energy attack (not knowing whether or not you hit the enemy) and a massive shroud of smoke rose from the ground. You would then automatically lock- off ('cause you can't see him), and would wait for the enemy to appear from the smoke. Of course, he could be behind you...
And of course, it would certainly have to feature the fighting engine of Tenkaichi (even though Budokai 3 had MUCH more depth), as it feels more like Dragonball Z. Oh yeah, and an awesome RPG element (like chronocross was talking about, I think) where you'd have to train constantly to increase your power level. Budokai 3 was gettin' there, but you didn't really need to do it. And no random Saibamen battles either; it would have to go in accordance with the story.
One last thing: It would be awesome if you could actually enter places like West City, instead of watching a motionless background.

One idea I had for a DBZ game was what I call "Enter the Dragon World". Basically its a free roaming game with no set linear storyline and you pick your character and with them you can explore the famous locations from the Dragonball series like West City, Kame House, Karin Tower etc and you choose what you do in the game such as...
1. Defend the Earth by fighting villains
2. Search for the Dragonballs to summon the dragon
3. Enter the world tournament on Papaya Island
4. Go round and talk to people
5. Rule the world and reign terror by destroying villains and killing heroes.
Rather than being set in a specific saga the game would have them all merged so depending on which city you go to so would fight Cell in Ginger Town.
I think it'd be really cool have such a game as it'd be something different from the usual DBZ game.
I don't like Vegeta much. He spends most of the series as a whiny bitch.
A good DBZ game should....
- have both English & Japanese voices/BGM
- have beam battles both on ground and in mid-air
- have the ability to fly at will
- have simple, fun & easy-to-learn gameplay
- include every single character ever introduced in the DB & DBZ series (fighters only I mean)
- have some cool mini games
- be in 2D

Welli just have another idea. Have anyone seen the trailer of Superman the game. Well, Superman is able to fly anywhere in the city (you guys gotta see the trailer to get what i am talking about). The world has to be huge at the begining but as you get stronger you can travel the world faster, or if you ar goku you would be able to use the telertransportation technique.
Can you imagine something like chronocros, create your own story. Lets say, the player starts as Goku as a boy with the nimbus cloud and he fights random bad people but instead of meeting pilaf goku goes directly to fight the red ribbon army, of course Goku would have to level himself up to get to beat them Lets think big here, it is a fighting game so Goku has to fight a docen soldiers at the same time. I would use for this sequence the tenkaichi gameplay. However when fighting with a big boss lets say General Black from "Path to Power" the gameplay would change to something more epic , has anyone played Kingdom Hearts 2 ( this would for big enemies such as the Big Apes, Big Piccolo, Vegeta Baby, becasue to tell you al the truth i found the gameplay while fighting the big apes really weak, it was not as epic as it should be) The best dragonball should have several gameplay modes, and as a bonus a fighting mode. Also relieving each fight as a replay(just like in a sports game, i mean fighting is a sport right?) or you can play them again and create new endings.
Also it should have the original dragonball japanese music. Well many people love the original english dub becasue that is what they originally listened to (same with me since i love my spanish dub, but I know that it will be imposible to listen spanish in a dragonball game
). It would be really cool to maybe have the ability to chose either a japanese music and voices and english music and voices and mix them.
Well those are my new ideas.

I aim to misbehave
-Must have English voices.
-Ability to rewrite the story of DBZ to a point.
-No stupid what-ifs. Tiencha or SSJ1 Bardock/Raditz/Nappa - good. Everybody getting SSj1-4/everybody fusing with everybody else - bad.
-No pointless characters, please. Why would you include the movie villians' henchmen? They don't even have any special moves besides "Scream" and "Die". This includes characters like Pilaf, Bulma, Bra, Generic Frieza Soldier #2, and Farmer Bob.
-ChiChi. 1. She's an actually skilled martial artist, unlike Bulma and 2. she knows the Kaioken and 3. she's named Hooters.
-If it has both online play and create-a-chara, then make it impossible to CAC that's part Saiyan and/or that looks like Goku or Vegeta. This will improve character quality by 600%.
-Ability to break bones during the fights. On a totally unrelated note, make sure Pan and Uub are included.

If I could make the perfect DBZ game, I'd put Lunch in it, along with, GASP, storylines ACTUALLY based off the original Dragon Ball. You know, all three Budokais, the Red Ribbon Army (heck, ARALE!), Baba, and Piccolo! Seriously, at this point, I feel that they're purposely trying to avoid adapting the original series into 3-D form, and, instead, going very slowly with it by adding Master Roshi, Tao Pai Pai, Kid Goku, and King Piccolo as secret characters/costumes.
Another thing, I hope that, considering the Revolution has a special feature that allows you to download additions to existing games, they consider adding a new character and/or storyline package every so often.

Anyway, I'd have a third-person action adventure as young Goku, roaming around the lands and fulfilling quests. It would have a platforming style, beat 'em-up style (throwing combos at hordes of Red Ribbon Army soldiers), and a bit of flying on the Nimbus. Imagine looking down at the world, in the clouds, at all of the cities and grassland. Then you could play as Lunch in a mini-game, and rob the bank (GTA style).

Well, if he ever gets hungry...Rocketman wrote:Why?Son Goku wrote:I'd put Lunch in it

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Create-a-character, completely new open-ended storyline, true rpg-style character progression, and destructible environments.
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.
