Maybe they tried to recapture some of the Broly lightning in a bottle by having an extrememly powerful enemy that uses one word or phrase constantly, but is a bit more well-spoken than Broly.
Except Bills became the best thing out of Battle of Gods. I could see him as a main character with his personality. When he gets in trouble he can just eat some Wasabi and go apesh*t on the enemy.
Umm. No he wasn't Whis was. Birsu was boring. If he was the main character I would not watch or read his series

Sorry but when this is your main villain,

then you got my vote as best DB villain ever. For me Bills and the credits were the best part of the movie (and I mean that in a good way.)

I respect your opinion but Birsu was boring to me. Never caught my eye. Only Whis did. Birsu can go choke on a fish.

I wouldn't really call Bills a villain. More like an antagonist.

If anyone was boring in the movie, it was Whis himself. All he practically did the entire movie was eat.

Birusu works so well because he feels like how a Toriyama-created villain should be - Threatening but has a fun side to them that makes them likeable, something a lot of previous movie characters failed to capture.

Yup. He just sat down and watch how boring and shitty this movie was. He even spoke in great grammar. Birsu on the other hand....SSG! SSSG! SSG! SSG! I almost called him Broly. Plus Majin Boo was a funnier antagonist

I once heard a similar sentiment "Beerus watches anime... top tier Dragon Ball villain right there."

I'm pretty sure the one episode of anime thing was from a fansub. Gotta wait till the Funi subs to be sure I guess.

Not an inaccurate translation, I looked it up and ticked the included Japanese subs, this is what it said:
Image

"Terebi (TV) anime 1 rebun hodou ka" which roughly translates to the "I'll be able to watch an episode of a TV anime".

Yep! Haha, Beerus has become my favorite Dragon Ball character, with all of his quirks. Plus, I'm a guy who likes cat's so by default I was probably gonna like Beerus anyway, haha! But, I totally understand why you thought it might be inaccurate. That does sound like something a fansubber would put in to spice up the dialouge.

Correction: "ichiwabun", not "ichirebun". And to be exact, he doesn't say anything about watching one, just that "That's about as long as a single episode of a TV-anime."
And this concludes my nitpicking/flaunting my Japanese-skills for no reason.

True, re looks a lot like wa, and I'm used to 'ha' acting as 'wa' but you're right, haha! I'm only okay at Japanese right now, so I may mess up here and there. But, I just wanted to show that the TV Anime line wasn't fake. I also paraphrased the translation up there, so I may have misremembered the proper line translation, haha!

Wonder what anime he'd watch? Hm, it could even just be an American cartoon too. In Japanese cartoons are usually just called TV Anime, even for something like South Park or The Simpsons.
