I never liked how he was dubbed "imperfect" and "semi-perfect." It just aggravated me, like "Ultra" Super Saiyan.

Perfect Cell has the best look of the bunch and his voice is awesome. But I agree that he's boring compared to First Form Cell

I blame that on the fact as soon as he becomes Perfect he had less screen time(more of it went to Gohan and Goku). Though I wonder how you could make Cell Perfect cool. Maybe him having Tien's immune(A better form of tanking) would be badass.

Imperfect Cell is my favorite villain!! He is a powerful sneaky MF and creepy as hell!!

Semi Perfect Cell looks like a toad. Don't liked!!

Perfect Cell is very good too but no comparison with his Imperfect form!!

I think I would agree with this. His imperfect form is like a creepy version of Vegeta on Namek and just seemed a bit different than the norm. His semi perfect state mostly just seems like a throw away to me. Perfect form isn't boring but it just doesn't have anything special to me.

Cell sorta personifies the quote "If you truly want to test a man, give him power".

He was sneaky and cunning at first but thats only because he needed to be. When he finally attained this "Ultimate Power" he no longer had the need to be a sneaky, sly, devil so his more arrogant side started to rear its head.

Ironically, his down fell to Goku and Gohan the same way he came up on Vegeta and Trunks. I like that about the arc.

Strength wise, a fight between him in his initial Perfect State and movie 8 Broly could go either way but his powered up state loses to Movie 10 Broly.

He's slightly stronger than Dabura and Bojack.

All in all I like Cell, Falconer Productions did an awesome job on the theme song for his perfect form. His Japanese VA has the type of voice for him that fits every form, but I also like the idea of him having different voices which is a thing in the english dub since the change in his voice tells the story of a psychical evolution.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Personally I much prefer his voice changing with his forms. And that's another reason I like his imperfect and perfect over semi-perfect. I like his imperfect and perfect voices a lot more than semi-perfect.

It's not like Wakamoto didn't adjust his acting accordingly with each subsequent form. It just wasn't... well... over-acted (I'm primarily looking at you, English-Language-Second-Form-Cell).

I like Cell but I prefer Frieza by a small amount.

Cell's first form was well designed and scary looking.

The second form looked like crap.

His final form is one of the best designs in the show.

Am I the only one who actually liked Perfect Cell?

I liked how he was basically an evil version of Goku with the new goal of actually proving his perfection instead of going "K, reached Perfect Form. I'll leave you guys alone now."

Too bad the actor couldn't come up with a better voice for that form. The voice alone makes me hate that form..

Not entirely the actors fault. It also comes down to the voice director when casting.

To me though, it works as it's intention: A middle-ground between Imperfect and Perfect voices.

Overall I like Cell's Kanzentai best especially when he returns all amped up from exploding...but the fact he gained power without healing or a senzu and just from renegerating when every other heal weakend him was some of the worst deus ex machina in the series...not that he got stronger from near death like all Saiyans but that he got stronger AND had all his energy back...ya know?

I also love that even though Gohan got the kill it was really Vegeta who saved the day.

I loved the Cell arc but as a character I found Cell lacked any real substantiation. He was an amalgamation of everyone so even his design I wanted something more humanoid than bug like given the amount of Saiyan in him. I loved him more in the anime than the manga as his creepy bug likeness translated better to me there than in the original work (I know blasphemy) but that's my opinion.

I thought he improved the saga, before 17-18 were just boring. They didn't do anything but drive around.

Yeah the SSJ2esque aura looks great on Kanzentai Cell.

Anyway, for me Cell is the last great villain. I think what I liked most is how he just kind of came from nowhere. Unlike the other major villains who were all hyped and we as the audience had to patiently wait for them to fight [especially Freeza, Freeza it took like 30-40 episodes for him to finally fight] Cell abruptly arrived at a strange timing . I mean the Z Senshi had just gotten their asses handed to them by the Androids, and the Androids were hyped ever since Future Trunks killed Freeza, so for the arc's major villain to just pop out of nowhere like that and steal the show was pretty cool. The Androids who had just crushed the Z Senhi and had been so hyped turned out to be nothing more than the minor villains of the arc.

Cell also ran the toughest gauntlet of any villain IMO, vs Kamiccolo, vs Kamiccolo & Android #17, vs Android #16, vs Vegeta, vs Future Trunks, vs Goku, and finally vs Gohan.

As far as designs go I guess I liked Perfect Cell the most, although 1st form Cell was cool. A lot of people complain how Perfect Cell just looks like a Freeza rip off but I don't think that's the case. Yes, on the face and ears he has a lot of similarity with Freeza, but he also looks a bit like Vegeta too IMO. Also body design is completely different to Freezas, and I thought character wise he was more similar to the Saiyans than to Freeza. In Perfect fom he did have Freeza's good mannerisms though but he had the Saiyan love for battle and desire to have a challenge.

He is what he is, a synthesis of all the major villains before him + Goku, and I thought it was an interesting concept plus I though he represented that composite pretty well. The guy could do it all two, he absorbs, can regenerate, gets zenkais, etc.

He's also one of the few dub personalities I like. I think Dameon Clarke's take on Cell is probably the best dub take of a DB character in the dubs. Of course I still like Wakamoto's Cell the most but it's not a huge blowout.
