Going beyond the TV show, I don't think I've seen all of the Trunks special, and I haven't seen any of the movies beyond the sixth Z movie (except for one scene from the twelfth). Also, my manga knowledge stops at volume 9.

I haven't seen a good portion of GT, especially the last story arc. I think I've only ever seen maybe one episode of that. I haven't seen the original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans (If we're counting), the PSA's, or pretty much any other obscure curio that's never made it out of Japan. I'm sure there are a few episodes I've missed here and there as well. Also, I've mostly only seen the dub. I plan on watching the whole thing in its original language after I re-watch the whole dub (I started with the '95 Dragon Ball dub "Saga of Goku" boxset, worked my way through the "Rock the Dragon" DVD set after that, then did the horrendous dub version of Bardock: The Father of Goku, now I'm on the "Season One" portion of Dragon Ball). I even bought the GT Complete Series set for this endeavor even though I can't stand the show (Hoping it'll be easier to get through with the original score).
As for the manga, I've only read a few random chapters here and there of the first portion, and from the "Z" portion, I've read most of the Artificial Human arc in the US Shonen Jump and now most of the Saiyan arc in color in the new digital US Shonen Jump. I've always wanted to read the whole series through, but the edits and cost have been a deterrent. Really hoping Viz releases the whole Full Color version physically as I'm hoping to collect those despite Viz's insistence on editing Popo's lips.

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
I've only ever seen a couple episodes of GT. Other than that, though, I've seen everything.
Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
Read the entire manga outside the Saiyaman arc.
Seen the entire anime outside of a few 22nd Budokai episodes, and DB Movies 2-4.
Only seen a few episodes of Kai, not really too concerned with it.

I haven't seen movies 7 through 11. Who is this Burly guy everyone goes on about? How high is his power again?

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
I have watched the entirety of the DB/Z/GT TV series (except for maybe a few skipped Z episodes here and there) but there are a few movies I haven't seen yet. I don't think I watched the DB tenth anniversary movie yet and I know I haven't seen DBZ movies 1 and 4. I really cannot explain why that is though since I own everything!

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
It's probably easier to list what I have seen instead of what I haven't. I've seen all of DBZ with the Funimation dub, the Trunks special (Funimation dub), the first part of Dragon Ball when it aired on Cartoon Network, and a few random episodes of Kai on 4Kids. I have not seen any of the movies nor any of GT. I am still patiently waiting to see if they ever release Dragon Boxes for DB or the movies. I do own all 7 DBZ Dragon Boxes as well as all 8 parts of Kai on Blu-ray, but I just haven't gotten around to watching them yet (I watched the Dragon Boxes to complete my viewing of the Funi dub, but I am talking about the subbed version).
Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
I've seen everything save for DBZ movie 10, DB movie 4, Battle of the Gods, the newest Bardock movie and a bit of Kai which I'm currently following on TV.

When i come to think about the movies, i haven't watched any of the two live-action movies actually. I'm afraid to, since i speculate that they will be to awful to watch through.

Some weak loser that no one cares about.penguintruth wrote:I've actually never seen a single episode of any of it. I've been faking really well for over a decade.
Who is this "Goku" guy, anyway?
Yamcha, on the other hand, is a whole different story.

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
I've seen most of DBZ up until the Buu Arc but only in the UK dub (Ocean/Westwood), I've seen all of GT with the Funi Dub and I've seen practically no DB and have only read the first VizBig.
I really need to watch them all in japanese but I'm not sure I ever will. I'll probably get around to reading the whole manga though.

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
Hmm, there's little I haven't watched or read.
- Summer Vacation Special
- Year-End TV Special
- Jaco the Galactic Patrolman
- Dr. Slump (late 90's); Dragon Ball crossover episodes
- Dragon Ball Kai TV Series
- Korean Live Action Film
- Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission
- Dragon Ball SD
- Original Illustrated Stories (Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks)
The two first ones are nearly impossible to come by. I cannot read Jaco because I simply cannot get it here. The 90's Dr. Slump series is also very hard to come by, so is the Korean live action.
As for Kai and SD, I started watching/reading but never got around to continue them. Never got around to actually reading the Illustrated Stories either.
Victory Mission is a bitch to follow too.

No it's not. Quite easy to find to be honest.DNA wrote: - Korean Live Action Film

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
Ok, correct that for "I never bothered looking and assumed it was difficult".
Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
I always considered it to be pretty difficult too, how long have people even known about it? I always assumed that the 2 early live-action films only re-emerged when Evolution was in the works because that's when I found out about them, and information on the Korean film was pretty scarce.DNA wrote:Ok, correct that for "I never bothered looking and assumed it was difficult".

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Dragon Ball Evolution the only official live-action movie? The Korean & Chinese movies are unofficial, no?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?
It was easy for me to find since I got to see when I lived in South Korea. However it's kinda easy to find every since the Internet became popular. AND to DNA isn't that quite lazy of youSin wrote:I always considered it to be pretty difficult too, how long have people even known about it? IDK about the China film but the Korean film I THINK is official.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Dragon Ball Evolution the only official live-action movie? The Korean & Chinese movies are unofficial, no?
