Plenty of Battle of Gods videos on YouTube have comments like "I can't wait for this to be dubbed and to hear Bruce Faulconers score for it!" and I can't tell if they're stupid or joking.

The stuff I see on youtube and facebook nearly makes me ashamed to be a fan of DBZ.

They probably won't because their modern English dubs all use the original music of the Japanese edition.

I couldn't care less anyway because I'll just watch it in Japanese with English subs.

It's the former. It's nearly always the former.

You do realise that you come across just as badly as the die-hard Faulconer/dub score fans who spew hate for the original cast and score, don't you? You're just the troll on the other side of the fence and every bit as insufferable. I'm convinced that you actually just scour these forums for topics, posts and even tiny instances of discussion relating to the old dub so you can hop in and spew your diatribe. It's old news, buddy - everyone knows your stand, this endless repetition is incredibly annoying. Have you got nothing else better to do?

You can use the ignore button if you find it to be an issue.

I, for one, find PenguinTruth's posts pretty hilarious. Anything involving cynicism and overwhelming disdain for something in short jabs or one liners is gold, to me.

It's not like he doesn't contribute to discussions with a majority of his posts.

There's plenty of them that know it's not the real OST for DBZ. They don't care. They just want more of what they grew up with. Nevermind that it doesn't even fit, that it's completely different from what was intended, they just want what they want.

They INSIST on Funimation continue outdated practices for one show.

Penguin, I'm mostly talking about all the law suites and crazy crap that went on between Funi and Faulconer Productions Music...and how Funi is not the same company it was, totally different people. I don't think your average person knows that kind of info. Sure they know it's not the OST, it's hard not to know that these days since you have to deliberately select it in the DVDs..if available at all.

The comment about what "fits" is subjective of course. Your opinion. opinion != fact .

If you think you can actually compensate for nostalgia in your opinions, go right ahead and try.

For some fans it is the original music in their own personal universe; the experience they had in their formative years that can't be undermined by the acquisition of new knowledge. Hindsight is 20/20.
A YouTube channel with no AMVs on it? I know, it's hard to believe.

Statements like this make me realize how sinful they are.

I wish they could man, I wish they could. Because the current one for the movie as terrible..with the exception of the Videl part. If they can only use rock songs for the fights, that'll be great!

I really hope not, BoG has great score. The only things that could reasonably be in danger are Hero and Cha-La-Head-Cha-La. I'll be really disappointed if they change the closing credits at all, the kanzenban pages and the new version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La were brilliant.

Shouldn't be a issue, although they'll probably have to use the Engrish versions by Flow. I'd rather have the Japanese version, I can understand those better than their Engrish versions.

If they still did replacement music it would probably be musicians like Skrillex and DeadMau5 since they're all the rage nowadays.

To be honest, I'm beginning to wonder if we'll get any of the Flow songs in the English dub track. FUNimation has had a lot of trouble with music liscensing lately, it seems. But hopefully all the stuff with One Piece is just a special case.

I wouldn't mind them using rock songs as an alternate audio track. Hell give us some Rock the Dragon and Faulconer. As long as both scores are available as an option for the dub everybody's a winner.
