Basic Question, I suppose

I'm still new to the AMV thing, so I was just wondering how you can have two scenes playing at the same time, faded into each other.

If you don't understand what I'm talking about, I've seen it in the Doomrider video, where Goku is charging up his Kaio-ken in the background while they show shots of fighting Ginyu.

Depends on which program you're using.

If your just starting you're probably using Windows Movie Maker. Just put a 'transition' between the two cuts of video ( I can't quite remember the details, but it shouldn't be hard). There should be a way to tell it to fade in over several seconds.

Well, I am using WMM.

I know about the transitions, but it's not exactly the same. It's over a long period of time and the background image fades, not the scene that keeps playing.
