Hating Goku for being cold blood in such a difficult time? Complain and do nothing is worse for the situation. Goku has more good than bad things and you can not hate him forever for his own personal decision.

For me, Goku made the right decision at that time, simple!

Kakarotto giving Cell the senzu bean was worse??? Oh no I think not, in the mind of a Saiya-jin no!!! Goku lives on Earth but he is an alien warrior who loves to fight and his mind still have Saiyan-jin pride.

I get that and all, I really do...but it just doesn't sit right with me. I mean you can chalk up a lot of things to cultural differences (in this case genetic) but that doesn't really give it a free pass.

Yeah, I know what you mean and I agree with you but being a Saiyan-jin is a determining factor in fighting situations. Vegeta did something similar letting Cell attain the perfect form and maybe that is even worse!

I find it hard to be genuinely angry at a man whose origin story includes massive head trauma leading to irreversible brain damage.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Goku didn't really have the same attitude about death as them did he? He got to see his grandpa after his death, he brought back his friends and himself from the dead, and he lives in heaven!

Sorry, i should mention that, in Cell saga, Piccolo yelled at Goku, that Gohan isn`t like him, and he realise his mistake, that not anyone want to fight, like him, and in Buu Saga, he force to train 7 and 8 year old, not knowing they like fight or not, especially later, when he said he could kill Buu,

It doesn't matter if they liked it or not. If they didn't do it, then their families, their friends, their planet, the whole universe would be erased from existence, even the AfterLife would be destroyed. And it's not like he didn't know if they liked fighting. The fact that they were so strong in such a young age, and that they trained their asses to compete in the Tenkaichi Budokai means that they did like fighting.

And no, Goku killing Boo instead of forcing the kids to get stronger is not a good idea. Goku was supposed to stay dead, and by teaching them Fusion, he would had made a protector of Earth that is stronger than him, meaning that Earth would be more secured. What if Goku had stayed dead, and then an enemy stronger than Cell or even Boo had shown up? Two Super Saiyan 2s and two Super Saiyans wouldn't be enough. However, a Super Saiyan from Fusion would be a much better solution.

What Goku did was the best thing he could have done. The fact that Gotenks was stupid was the only flaw in his plan, be there was no way to predict that.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Maybe? They did make a wish to bring back everyone killed by the Saiyans so its possible the farmer got brought back since he was killed by Raditz, who was a Saiyan.

Actually, no such wish was ever made.

The farmer appears in a lot of random anime scenes afterwards, though.

Actually, no such wish was ever made.
The same goes for the city where Vegeta and Nappa landed.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

The only scene I ever had made me dislike Goku was he gave a bit of his energy to Freeza. This guy nearly wiped out the Saiyan/Namekican race, killed countless lives including his best friend Krillin. Why after everything he has done would you show mercy on someone like that and give them a bit of your energy? Doesn't make sense.

I remember when I was watching the dub on Toonami of the Cell saga, in that dub they had the next episode preview lines sometimes given by the characters (instead of the narrator), usually Goku, starting by saying "Hey it's Goku!" or something like that. Anyway he was saying how Krillin is hesitant to use the controller on 18, and then said "he's an old softy - like me!". At the time, I remember thinking "Yeah right, Goku, you've killed people!".

It may have been sad that they died, but at the time, Goten and Trunks were the only ones left capable of avenging their deaths and saving the Earth, and they only had so much time in which to do it.
