Is there any official source listing the heights of the various characters? A lot of them seem inconsistent between media (comics, cartoons, video games, toys) and even in the same source, especially the villains like King Piccolo, Vegeta, King Cold, and Super Buu.

Huh. I never realized that Dabura, Kibito, and Fat Buu were that big. This is pretty cool.

The art style of DBZ seems to drastically exaggerate differences in height, especially when very short or very tall characters are involved. Really short guys get drawn TINY, really big guys get drawn so huge they shouldn't be able to fit through doors (...not to mention those that actually are supposed to be that big in the first place, like some of the monsters. When size exaggeration kicks in for them, they go from "damn that guy's big" to "how did this 20-foot-tall freak in a dragon suit even get into the Tenkaichi Budokai ring in the first place!?")

Looking at the visual height charts posted, then comparing to the height numbers given... let's use the Broly one for an example. Piccolo (going by the 7'03" or so height that I've seen listed somewhere before--the Piccolo height mentioned in the post GmGoken quoted seems to be for Daimao, who was definitely bigger) and Goku seem to be around the right size compared to each other (assuming that the line that Piccolo's head just barely goes over is the 7-foot mark, and Goku would be part of the way between the 5 and 6 foot lines if not for his giant hair taking up so much space), while Vegeta is drawn shorter than actual size (if you shaved his hair off he'd only barely reach the 5 foot line, rather than being a few inches over) and the shorter characters like Krillin and Roshi are shrunk down more than a foot below their official height. Poor Oolong looks to be about half the height he should be going by the 121 cm (just short of 4 feet) height he was given.

And sometimes they're just inconsistent. I know I remember reading that Bulma and Chi-Chi had official heights listed and they were both around Vegeta's height or a bit shorter... while here, they both look a few inches taller than Vegeta!

King Cold in particular is a weird one. Sometimes, he's HUGE!



Other times, he's barley two heads taller than Trunks, which would only make him as tall as Piccolo and 2nd form Freeza.

Also, damn, Gohan has some freakishly long legs relative to his torso. Videl's shoulders don't even come to his waist.

Thanks. 250 cm? He seems much larger than that in certain scenes, especially when he's older.

It's also interesting that, in the above images, Bulma seems to be a bit shorter than Vegeta. But in BOG, she's noticeably taller.
