If the official company picks it up it becomes official. Or do you think that if someone wrote a plot for a movie with some connection to a franchise and the studio bought the plot and made a movie out of it, it wouldn't be official?
By official I mean written by Akira Toriyama and/or Toei Animation themselves. But huh, do you consider Dragonball Evolution official then? xD

Of course its official. Everything not fan-made is official. The term you are looking for is "canon". And the only thing undoubtedly "canon" is the manga.

You keep contradicting yourself

And no I am not looking for the term canon. Let's take the Zelda series for example. I bet you think the Cdi games were official because Nintendo let them license and produce a few Zelda games of their own although Nintendo themselves stated those games are not official.

You said if the co. picks up something fan made it becomes official, yet later said everything fan made is not official :)

I said everything NOT fan-made is official. You read it wrong.

Anyway, I'll explain it better...:

Something fan-made has nothing to do with the official company or companies or author.

A different situation is when a company picks up a fan-made concept or story and makes an official product out of it. Its an official product that has the peculiar characteristic of making use of a concept or story that first originated in the mind of a fan instead of a professional.

Hence my example of a movie studio making use of a manuscript or plot with connections to a franchise sent to them by a non professional fan, and the studio deciding to buy it from him and making a movie out of it.

According to you, that movie, produced professional, released by the studio that has the rights to do so, is not an official product because it makes use of an idea, concept or story that was first thought up by a non professional fan and then bought by the movie studio from him. That makes sense to you?

I fail to see where I'm contradicting myself. I'm only seeing you not understanding what I'm saying.

Dragonball Victory Mission is official................

Why do you want DBA to be official? So you can get a new series? No disrespect but movies and OVA(s) is all we're getting most likely. Which isn't bad. We don't need a new series. Just let DBZ be over and delt with. Lastly. Why in the blue hell do you think it's real? When many "real" claims have been made about DB before.

I'd rather choose throwing away my money than donating them.

Absalon would have to have some essence of worth for this to be anything but an absurd lie.

Let me make myself clearer:

An existing fan work would never "become official", regardless of whether the official rights-holders show an interest in it. As a derivative work, it's too much of a thorny legal mess for the companies to get involved with. The absolute best that can happen is for the creator of said work to "get noticed" and be put in charge of an official aspect of the franchise, be it art, a (different) spinoff, or whatever.

Dragon Ball Absalon is not going to become an official Dragon Ball property. the creator is either being taken in by a hoax, or using this himself as a ploy to drum up interest and get more money. Either way, don't hold your breath.
